That’s the 7th highest paid coach in football. 3 ahead of him didn’t make the playoffs, 4 had 4 or more losses. We had 4 losses.
His pay is the going rate, Stoops at Kentucky makes 9 million, Venables at Oklahoma as a 1st time head coach makes 8 million. Using his pay for an argument against him is stupid.
Edited to add he’s given back 2 million so far in 3 years so he’s averaging about 9 a year.

No... all of that shite is irrelevant. It's playoffs or bust. I'll give him credit for what he did in Year 1.
Nobody cares about these meaningless bowl games in the "Opt Out/Portal" era. They are nothing more than a winter scrimmage with patched up rosters in half empty stadiums. So winning that 10th outside of the playoffs doesn't hold any weight.
The Heisman is an individual award (Happy for JD5).

I think if it had been 9-4, 10-3, 10-4 with this year being SEC champ and a Heisman winner then yeah, everyone would be pretty stoked. Problem is it looks like we have gotten worse each year he has been coach. Hell, correction, it doesn’t “look like”, record proves it.
