Hard for me to see UGA getting left out as long as they don't lose by 2+ TDs vs. LSU. There's a lot of precedent for this.

There’s actually not. There has never been a non-conference champ that made the playoff in favor of a conference champ with the same number of losses.

Last year, Georgia made it because there were no available 1-loss conference champs.

UGA got in last year, but not over Bama. Bama was 1, UGA was 3.

If lsu, osu, and tcu win out:
1. OSU
2/3: uga tcu
4: Lsu

They don’t rematch Lsu uga at 2/3 and we’re still behind them.
No way usc wins both nd and Oregon
Clemson no chance
I think it’s possible the committee would put in a one loss osu (NOT that I think this should happen but iiwii) in the playoffs so let’s hope osu wins.

You think TCU is going to lose to Iowa St this weekend?

Well, we only have one game left before the CC game, and that's against a not-so-great Iowa State in Ft. Worth, and I would be shocked if they dropped that game.

Could we lose to K-State in the CC game - sure.

This idea that Georgia should be in no matter what is stupid.

No matter what may be stupid, but only if they lose their last game of the regular season as well. If they are undefeated going into the championship game, it makes perfect sense.

Why? I mean, last year they lost the SECCG and won the CFP. If they are clearly one of the top 4 teams, then they should be in.

You can't look at last year. Last year the ACC, PAC 12, and Big 12 all had 2-loss champions. So a 1-loss SEC runner-up looked more appealing. If Clemson and USC each finish as 12-1 conference champions, they are getting in ahead of Georgia if LSU wins out.

Unless we beat UGA by 14+, UGA is not getting left out. USC's defense is trash and Clemson is garbage. The committee is not just going to look at records/conference championships. UGA is certainly one of the best 4 teams in the country.

Everybody is predicting Ohio State to beat Michigan. I think our worst case scenario would be if Michigan pulls an upset and TCU keeps winning, we could be the odd man out even if we win out.

The easy out for the committee is to start with the conference championship criteria. That eliminates the UGA/LSU and OSU/Michigan issues.

LSU has to beat the #1 team in the USA, basically on their home field....if we do that, we are IN!

I get the impression that the CFP committee is hell-bent on getting a PAC 12 team in this year.

All we can do is win out and let the chips fall where they may.

It would suck big time to end up in a lower tier bowl game than both Tennesee and Bama.
