LSU has arguably the 2 best pitchers to come through the SEC, Ben and Paul. All things considered equal, who are you rolling with to start a winner takes all game? Big Ben or Paul?
Honestly, I don’t think there is a wrong answer. I know I have the benefit of living in the moment but I think I would have to take Paul. I just think Paul is doing it in a different environment, where teams and the sport (in general) or better compared to when Ben pitched. However, Ben had to deal with juiced up bats at a time when college baseball was way more offensive based.

Well Ben McDonald is 55 and has had some injury issues so I’m rolling with Skenes.

Big Ben was before my time, so I have to go with Skenes. He’s the most dominant college pitcher I’ve ever seen.

Big Ben never won in Omaha, so Paul.

As great of a pitcher as Ben was for LSU, Skenes in today's game is more dominate.

As someone who has seen them both pitch, I will let you pick first and be perfectly happy with whoever is left.

Ben was 0-4 in Omaha. Give me Paul

Paul. Ben wasn’t great in big games.

Big Ben was dominant. But I have never seen a dude like Paul. He could start tomorrow in the big leagues and strike out 8.

Ben almost single handily won the A&M Regional in CS.
He's surrounding cast wasn't as good as teams that won NC's either.
But Skenes is the most dominant pitcher in LSU Baseball history.

Ben's 1989 pitching staff consisted of
Curt Leskanic (MLB)
Russ Springer (MLB)
Chad Ogea (MLB)
Paul Byrd (MLB)
John O'Donoghue (MLB)
He also had Wes Grisham and his catcher, Keith Osik, made it to the MLB

I'm not old enough to remember watching Big Ben pitch, so I can't answer definitively.

Never felt so confident in watching a pitcher than Skenes in college or pro.

Ben is kind of old. Skenes needs sone rest though.
When is the game?

Give me the SEC strikeout leader.

Paul says give me the ball in the big I GOT THIS. I loved Ben but couldn't get it done in Omaha.

I've seen them both and I'm going with Skenes by a hair. He is just a different animal. He makes it look so effortless.

I saw them all.
I'm going Skenes and it's not that close...then Nola...then Ben
