USC is far from a tough OOC school
Matter of fact they pretty much stink….
An LSU team should blowout USC (not the Pete Carroll USC of course)
USC of the last 10 years
Also LSU should actually win some games maybe instead of a rent a win ?
Georgia opened with Clemson and beat them by what 30 points
No I want an LSU team that take on anyone and compete…
Sadly my freshman in college kid hasn’t seen that since she was in middle school

The risk-reward simply isn't worth it. We play at Bama, at OU, at Ole Miss, and have Florida and South Carolina at home. We have a plenty enough tough schedule.

I HATE cupcake games, and don't even watch them.
Starting off against a legit team week 1 makes the entire summer and fall camp more exciting.
And if we can't beat Clemson, well then, we don't really deserve to be in the playoff hunt away. Much like the USC loss this year showed that we weren't good - as has been proven.

I know this was probably scheduled way before the 12 team was materialized but I really wonder if LSU will be aggressive in attempting to schedule a week zero tune up game if possible.
I get what you're saying, but the battle for Death Valley is a great concept. I love the big matchups to open the year as a home and home, not neutral sites.
