Purple jerseys

The play well and look great in these unis. It should be the only ones we use other than the classic whites

I only see losing and Curley Hallman when we wear them. I think they are ugly.

Yea. Since 2000 we have worn the gold-purple-gold combination only five times vs P4 opponents -- vs Oregon St in 2004, at Miss St in 2007 and 2009, vs Wisconsin in 2024 (Reliaquest Bowl) and vs UCLA in 2024. That's way too infrequent for the best looking outfit in our wardrobe.
They really should be worn twice yearly: for our P4 nonconference opponent and for one SEC game. I don't think it makes sense for our best looking uniform to be reserved for inconsequential games like vs. McNeese, or Nicholls, or Southeastern.

That’s a dumb premise because all I see are the 80’s and we didn’t suck in the 80’s. I chunked oranges when we wore purple. And if we relate shitty units to coaches then let’s never wear white again because I associate white with that dipshit Brian Kelly.

I would say that jerseys have nothing to do with performance. The white jerseys are a brand that helps make LSU one of the most known brands in college football. Protect the brand.

Well….I’m not sure what you mean by ‘we didn’t suck in the 80’s’. We were 70-47-5 from 1980-1989 (a winning % of .590).
In the 60’s - 76-26-5 (.724)
In the 70’s - 69-34-3 (.651)
In the 90’s - 50-62-1 (.447)
2000-2025 - 247-88 (.737)
From 1982 to 1994 (Purple Jersey Requirement) 81-64-4 (.543)
Purples are not as sharp as Whites, they are not as iconic, they make the team slower and they are bad luck. Fact!

They'll probably never be the standard but I like them. Maybe Lane likes them a little bit too since we've worn them twice now.

The purple jerseys are not bad luck. The jersey a team wears has absolutely no bearing on whether they win or lose. It’s just a dumb superstition. Personally, I love the purple jerseys.
