LSU first team defense through 2 games (this is INSANE)

I have all the data, so out of curiosity, I compiled this. And those 3 points allowed was gifted by Leavitt's INT against Clemson.

Maybe some of his sacks or included with stats from the second team. I believe he also played with the second team, but I'm not sure

my "1st team" criteria was >= 8 starting players. So there may be some individual plays that were left off.

THIS is why I'm bullish on LSU.
We've seen a lot of great LSU defenses over the last few decades. I can't remember one being this dominant in the first two games. Forget scoring, Clemson and Tech could not even get first downs. Like you said, but for LSU throwing an INT at its own 33 yard line, Clemson does not score against the first team defense.
Are Clemson and La Tech great offenses? Probably not. But a lot of LSU teams have played far worse offenses to start the season, as have many other teams this year, and they were not as dominant at this year's group. To put it in some context, the LSU first team defense was more dominant than Gerogia's defense was against Tennessee St and WKU. I'm not high on Clemson (and wasn't before the season), but I'm willing to go out on a limb and say they are better than Tenn. St and (probably) WKU.
This all could come crashing down tonight. But I've seen nothing to suggest the first two games were just a fluke. And with that kind of defense, an LSU offense that matches Lane Kiffin's worst offense in his career as a SEC HC (3rd in the league) should be more than good enough to beat anyone on its schedule.

I saw a stat that if ole miss is 3 and 5 or longer they are like 5% successful

Ole Miss is a real offense though. Our defense looks elite. I'm very interested in seeing how it does against a team like Ole Miss.
I DO NOT expect it to dominate at the level it has. If you said I could hold Ole Miss to 23 points, I'd take it.

I wrote a query for this against my data. Ole Miss is 1/10 in this situation. So 10%.
For comparison, LSU is 8/17 in this situation (47.1%).

Baker has struggled to scheme all of this in the past with mobile QBs. We will find out the next two weeks if this defense is fool's gold again with Baker at DC.
