Those kids never gave up. They were out matched. They didn’t really have a chance to win. But they fought their asses off the whole game. They amazingly kept it close. You could say we had too many turnovers/turnovers in the red zone etc., but they fought like hell to keep it within reach at half. The Bulldogs are “Dawgs” and will give teams problems all year.

Glad the Tigers won comfortably enough for the pollsters who don’t know shite about football, but hell of an effort by La Techs whole team for 60 minutes.

Salty arse defense.

One of those defenses that just punches above their weight.

They have a better defense than a lot of P4 teams. Local ruston kids

Their Dlineman and linebackers could be decent starters for a lot of P4 programs. Helps that they seem very well coached and disciplined.

Yep. Two years in a row of not getting any help from their offense, but giving the LSU offense a headache. Love their scheme and effort.

Even accounting for the slow start from LSU tonight, likely some let down after the big win last week, LA Tech's defense was more prepared for LSU than Clemson's.

They were not scared, and they drew a line in the sand that LSU had to push them over. Very impressed with their fight.

After last week I'd say exactly what you said but watching our offense this week I'm saying maybe we got fools gold last week and our offense really wasn't good. I said after last week the offense didn't really play great they ran the ball effectively, this week they can't run and passing game looks terrible. We will know exactly where we are after next week. But la tech played admirably

I hope the better teams on our schedule don’t watch this game lol

That Defensive formation gave the 1’s fits.

Yes, but Tech's offensive ineptitude had something to do with that. Their defense was on the field the whole game. Considering the size and depth disadvantages, one is impressed with the effort.

They've been ranked in the top 25 on defense the past 2 years I think. They're not surprising they're good on defense. Their offense is the problem. The games that Tech lost last year due to a bigger score like this game was because their defense was on the field the entire game too.

I’ll be rooting for them the rest of the season they could win the Sun Belt if their defense plays like that. Their offense is plenty good enough. Our defense is just on another level.

Ho hum. Just an easy win. Offense had an off night or we would have scored 80 and the techsters 7.

The thing that’s not understandable is Cumbie is an offensive guy. The whole time he’s been there, though, they have leaned heavily on the D.

Those kids showed out. They know lots of other coaches are watching this game and if they play well, they might get paid by someone else.
