Would you go to try and tamper to get Blaine Bradford who played at catholic and is ohio st??
He currently has one tackle and one pbu this entire year.

I can't speak on Bradford but I'd be pretty certain Kiffin will find quality in the portal

Lol LSU is not dumb enough to actually tamper. Now, opposing coaches I'm sure will jump on any opportunity to accuse them of doing so, but literally we have an entire department handling this shite. They will reach out to players agents and line up whatever they want, and noone will be able to do anything about it... You have to be unbelievably stupid to have a coach reach out directly to a player when there is a clear process to do so.
The ONLY thing I would consider a possibility that would happen would if a player entered portal with do not contact tag but if we want him bad enough I could see still reaching out, but again this will all be through agents and proxies and is completely above board.
Also why would we want a safety who has 1 tackle and 1 pbu. Only because he is from Catholic high??

We nearly landed him out of HS. He’s definitely getting a call. He won’t be the only one. Hard to predict portal.
Depends how highly OSU values him, as well. It’s not as simple as “we want him, we got him”

No, he may get a call but LSU will seek someone who's a big proven one in the portal first. I like Thomas and Spears but they're still going to need a big time S in the portal. Maybe Blaine is another if he's willing to come in to compete but he won't be the only one if they do. You can't have bad S play. It will gut a defense probably worse than anything. Nothing more infuriating than killing QBs only for them to hit 70 yarders because your S are burnt toast all the time or can't make tackles as last line of defense against RBs.

Yes they are. Last line of defense is the difference between a 5 yard play and a 70 yard play.

General rule is if you can’t play at another high P4, you likely won’t be able to play at lsu either. Y’all love to fall in love with recruiting rankings & hold onto that shite forever.

Why would Cooley take a pay cut to get drafted day 3 or sign as PFA. Cooley will likely be back unless something changes.
