That is exactly what will happen, especially with the transfer portal.
They'll get to campus, realize they're in a shitty city on a shitty team working out of shitty facilities and realize that they could be treated like royalty at Bama, LSU, A&M, etc. and bounce.

In the long run how does this help these players going to JSU? Sure you might make some money with the NIL deal but the competition at that level is piss poor and how do you show the NFL that you are ready for the next level?

I lived in Jackson. It's a cesspool, and even worse than it was when I lived there. Jackson State is dirt poor, the facilities are terrible, and the violent crime is through the roof. Not to mention no one goes to the football games.
