At some point our fanbase has to realize this isn’t a funding issue and a fundamental choice by the head coach building the program.
Agree with it or not, CBK has been very clear with his intentions. They’re going to spend money on high school players, not transfers.

Right 2 Top 50 draft picks at DT made up of 3* players. He’s a damn good coach, recruiter, and developer of talent. He hasn’t been here a minute, watch what he does with Reliford & Dom in a year. He wasn’t hired to convince to Average non SEC DL to transfer to LSU for millions of $ for a cup of coffee.

My buddy did say Bo changed his tone once he left Tx and got to Lsu.
He said well the number was this at Tx so what happened? He said it's not that number anymore, that this is what we can pay. About half

What Kelly was saying is we aren’t gonna pay $1.5M for a mid DT in the portal. That’s more than our 5* committed players are getting.
Could our NIL be better? Of course. Should we ever pay an honorable mention type player $1.5 M? No. Never.

Honest question, LSU just had a recruiting class ranked in the top 10 in every major publication. They are currently sitting in the top 5 for next years with the number 1 qb already committed. So do you think LSU just got really lucky and found a bunch of great players that just happened to not care at all about money? Or, is it possible that there is a legitimate plan for how the money is distributed and paying a mil for someone that won’t make a difference in the W/L column does not pass the sanity test?

I believe Baker is the highest paid assistant coach in the country. Bo is the highest paid DL coach and Hankton is a top 2 paid wr coach. Yeah, the coaches aren’t going anywhere unless it’s for promotions.

Bo is home. He’s not just leaving because we aren’t getting in a bidding war over average players just because our big board says we need a position.
