When fans are so eagerly to replace kids and on the same hand shite on the transfer portal. Do yall ever once take in consideration injuries. Learning curves. Or the other 100 reasons a kid might struggle his first or second year?? I’m so fricking tired of this fan base just shitting on kids. Rohan Davey took three years by his own admission to learn the offense. You cucks now a days would have burned him at the stake and wanted every other qb in the portal yet he’s a tiger legend. Stop wanting instant results. Be patient. Let it play out.

You just described what we are seeing with Nuss currently. The kid has his flaws but that's understandable for a first year starter. They don't want to give kids time to grow & develop. Many overlook the positives in Nuss' game right now. They expect everyone to be perfect All Americans from day one. Let's not forget that these same idiots wanted to run Burrow out of town in 2018 & Daniels out of town in 2022.

So awesome to actually talk football with someone with sense. So refreshing. Now let’s break it all down.

LSU fanbase for 2 decades which was right “if we only had a qb”. Burrow first year entire Tiger droppings hated the “yankee” he was shite. Why isn’t McMillan gonna start. He’s earned his place. 2nd year Burrow Heisman. Daniels comes. 1st year starter entire Tiger droppings wanted Nuss to start over him. 2nd year best college qb of all time, yet still big percentage of fan base thought Nuss should play. Nuss 1st year. Same fan base wanting him to start previous 2 years completely shite on him as a first year starter and want to replace him with a portal qb. It’s insanity. Literally.

Get Jacoby Mathews or the Poyser kid from Jax State kid. Spears takes a big year 2 jump and is clearly the most physically gifted guy in the DB room. Gilbert come back as a rotational backup in his second year in the system.

Bro what fricking games did you watch. PFF is a scam. Gilbert is trash. Shouldn’t see the field again at LSU.

Nah bro. They totally watch every snap, for every player, from every game and get those grades out in 3 days. It’s totally legit.

/sarcasm

This is the 2nd offseason in a row that Sage Ryan has entered the portal even though he was a starter. Excuse last year was he was forced to play out of position. Fine. What about this year?

The kid is holding LSU’s feet to the fire because safety is a position of need, and trying to force more money out of them. frick him. Let him go this time.

at this point, you go to Genesis Smith, with a large bag, and make him say no....

i'd also be trying my best to get Kendal Daniels, Marquavious Moss, and TJ Metcalf interested in visiting as well...

Santana Banner and Alex McLaughlin are another couple of names that may be worth looking into as well

Spears should have continued to start when 2 came back from injury and taken his lumps. He would be ready to go next year. The production could not have been much worse. 20/20 hindsight but 2 had some bad moments down the stretch. I feel like he had some effort level issues. Seems to have the physical tools.

Not sure if he’s a target but hopefully. There isn’t much out there

Sage Ryan entered the portal. He actually graded out pretty well this year.

I find it funny this has turned into a thread bashing Ryan, when all I asked is who are we targeting at safety now.

All I said was that Ryan didn’t deserve all the bashing and you at least know what you have in him at Safety. He might be one of the best options, depending on who is out there.

Thanks to those that actually answered the question, instead of shitting on our own players, even if they are in the portal currently.

Because whit weeks would miss assignments and run himself out of plays, especially in the running game.

Completely disagree with that AFTER he played a few games. Of course, I am the one who criticized him on the Rocket Sanders long TD run where as you stated, he took himself out of a play by diving inside and turned a 3 yard gain into a 70 yard TD run. But he improved dramatically.

And my best evidence is this. Whit Weeks was SEC defensive player of the Week at least 2 times this season...Ole Miss and OU. How many times was Sage Ryan? Oh yeah, the big 0. Whit Weeks is hell and back a better LBer than Sage Ryan will ever be a good secondary guy...at any position. Once again, not even close that Ryan should NOT have a better PFF grade. Those guys who rate performances are incompetent.

It was still happening at the end of the year. He would struggle against the running game. Especially teams with running qbs.

Poysner is supposed to be making his decision on Tuesday after he finishes up his visits this weekend. He's visited AU. LSU, Miami, UGA, and I think UF.

All indications are that the LSU visit went well and we'll see on Tuesday.

In the last 5 game, he had 17 tackles in 2 of them So obviously he didn't struggle too much in the running game..even against QBs. Once again, in the last half of the season, 2 times named SEC defensive player of the week. So they must have seen something different than you did. BTW, the 2 games with 17 tackles each...Alabama and OU, both of which have running QBs.

Lsu was dead last in the sec in interceptions with 5. Texas had 19 for comparison. We have to find some play makers on the defensive side of the ball.
