Yes, 30 days but the student athlete has to enter the transfer portal and ask for a release. No head coach/asst coach can contact the student athlete and vice versa before they enter the transfer portal. Waiting game to see if any athlete from Iowa enters the transfer portal.

Is there a deadline for players that have entered the portal to commit to a school ?

I believe the only real deadline is the start of classes in the fall.

There's chatter at Baylor they have a commitment. They're saying it's F Dauda. She visited them today. Additional chatter that F Williams from Michigan committed to Miami.

Janiah Barker has been quite, might be an NIL battle going on with her. I doubt LSU would be involved.

Confirmed. She posted on her Instagram. In other news, the SEC schedule was released. We have South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Texas on the road. That’s a brutal road schedule.

while no "easy SEC road games" (recall last year at Auburn at Moo St) TN and UK are very much in rebuilding mode- new coaches, both lost their best player- but VT PG at UK will be an issue.

Schedule is solid, wish we got Texas at home though. I wonder if we have a better OOC planned. I don’t blame Kim with the weak OOC to build chemistry and momentum but we’d have a better atmosphere consistently if we had better home games.

theres word over on the lady vols boards that barker was in knoxville over the weekend. and that dauda is probably gonna commit there. and if those 2 DO commit (plus all the pretty decent players caldwell and staff have landed) they seem to think they've hit the portal jackpot and can make it to the final 4! theyre a confident bunch!

thoughts...

In rebuilding mode, but both been very active in the portal and are building decent squads. UT just got Ruby Whitehorn recently.

We are partially rebuilding also. I am done with thinking we bring anybody in. Guess we are done. So be it. Play with what we have and roll the dice

I wouldn't expect it to be a huge difference. We'll be on the road for the SEC/ACC challenge this year, so it would be nice if we got one decent home game. I know when she was at Baylor, she had home and homes with teams like UConn, Stanford and South Carolina. Would nice if we did something like that.

I definitely understood it for the first few years as she was building the roster. But to me now there is not really a benefit of playing a week OOC schedule. Actually thought it hindered the team last year.

I know they had Tameiya Sadler the pg from Colorado in for a visit. It could be her or Barker.
