Goal = NCAAs
expectation = far less
Still so much unknown, but the fact that I think an attainable goal is a possible tournament birth is exciting. Lots of really great pieces on the roster. Just have to see how the players buy in to Coach Wades defensive philosophies. We have to play better defense.

frick that. This is an NCAA tournament team.
If Wade has this program even sniffing a tourney birth in year 1, he should be National COY.

Johnny Jones was that bad.
Team played with no heart and no effort. Wade's team will play the exact opposite way, and we'll have a pretty deep roster.
The NCAA Tournament bubble sucks. It won't take much to at least get in the conversation.

You could potentially play he and Mays together as well because of the size Mays gives you.

Damn Will Wade is earning his money so far. How do you convince the # 1 player from Connecticut to come to LSU? Did UCONN offer him?
Dale Brown's first national recruit was from Connecticut- Mickey Heard, but was academic casualty after one semester.
Maurice Williamson was another big recruit from Connecticut and he had a very productive career with Shaq and Verne. Lets hope Tremont is more like Maurice than Mickey

Wonder who the starting 5 will be, and the top 3 off the bench?
Assuming no more attrition, then I think you'll see
Mays
Sampson
Edwards
Combs
Reath
The bench will be guard-heavy, but at least it looks like you'll have some pretty good length at many spots.

ehh. the conference is STACKED next season. 6 years ago this roster would have won the west, but it's going to be tough next season. I just think we're one more post player away

And the SEC Network
First time I've seen parents say the SEC Network play a factor. Hopefully they'll come down from CT a good bit as well.

I don't see it. We'll be a respectable team this year, but I don't see how we'll get our resume to NCAA level. The SEC as a whole has recruited very well.

I would assume that Waters was promised quite a bit of playing time. Don't be surprised to see him start game 1.

I doubt Wade promised anything. Doesn't seem like his personality.
