This one more intriguing than Williams.

Frank: reel him in,

Yeah...underwhelming is being generous. Not to say he can't turn it on the last three years of college, but certainly not for a huge financial investment.

I understand that everyone sees these guys go to Texas and kind of forget about them, then it's "bring them home". But that's not necessarily what we need to do

He got passed by 2 true freshman this year.

Assuming LSU’s 3rd corner going into next year will be Jakeem Jackson. He would be a backup here.

Regardless of if he and Williams come to LSU, they're great examples of why you don't go check chasing in Austin. Short term money instead of playing the long game.

People need to be patient with the portal. The tidal wave of entries hasn’t come yet.

Going after Mack and Derek Williams is like going after JK Johnson, Jyaire Brown, and J Gilbert. Don’t go after guys from big schools who got passed up unless you’re just looking to add backups. Personally I’d rather rely on your freshman and sophomores you recruited as backups.

Go after Haulcy and Delane types. Focus on guys who balled out at smaller or struggling programs who are looking to step up to the bright lights and elevate their NFL profiles.

Yeah...I too was excited about Denver Harris. Yeah, that guy!

I think we want guys who are outgrowing their program and looking for a better NIL opportunity and chance to win something big, not guys who are not happy with their playing time.

I'm not saying he's someone we need to pursue, but look at Spears. This season is the first time he's really shown what he can do. People were labelling him a bust before the season started.

Texas 24/7 reporting this is fake news and he is not in the portal

You're not wrong. Cooley, Haulcy and Gooden all fit that mold. Moore and Thompson on offense as well.

They need both to be able to fill out the roster. LSU losses the same type of players and they need to be replaced some how
