This is by far the mot ridiculous thread I have read in the 12 years I have been coming to the RB. The nonsense some of you believe is laughable.

On Tuesday, Finebaum squashed any rumors of the NCAA allowing what Vol is trying to wish into reality when he said it wont happen because it would destroy the integrity of the game. Before some of you start pissing and moaning about Finebaum you might want to keep in mind he has more sources than anyone associated with college football. He has contacts in every single SEC program. He is friends with everyone in the media from writers, radio guys, tv(the booth, sidelines and shot callers at all the networks). Finally, he has sources in the SEC offices, as well as every other conference headquarters. Last but not least, he has sources with the people who make decisions at the NCAA. So when he goes out on the limb and says something wont happen I tend to believe him because he has a lot more credibility then some wannabe insider on TigerDroppings.

I personally think it is absolute BS to think those kids can not transfer. If the school says no, and other conferences say yes...they should have that choice. From an NFL standpoint they would be getting F’d.

Even if they are granted a release, there is no time for them to work themselves into the lineup, especially at QB. Maybe a defensive player could get some quick playing time but even that's doubtful. Truth be known, I don't think we're going to have a season any way because you're risking a young man's life for a game! We don't know everything about this virus, so the liability is huge for these universities. So what if a player is allowed to transfer, but the season is cancelled? Is he allowed to transfer back with no penalty?

I can see them granting transfers.

But to do that you also have to allow for expanded scholarship limits.

That the NCAA absolutely will not do. Especially temporarily.

The two have to go hand in hand, so it's not happening. One or two (like Fields) opens the floodgates...

... and without scholarship limit expansion it's not like the Morganza, it is more like a bar ditch outside Laurel MS. The system can't handle it.

Finebaum has zero credibility & anything he spews out has one goal : to stir up shite to help his show. From several accounts, the NCAA was to have been meeting last week into this week to specifically discuss issues with transfers.

They should not do this, will destroy other programs. No need, we're good.

It sure seems like there having a season.wouldnt have started fall practice if they weren't planning on playing..its not risking safety when the young men are all asymptomatic pretty much.

Hey, everybody was scrambling last week. And it’s been a week it things already look different. The Big 10 said they’d cancel the season, and now it looks like they’re trending toward reopening. I’d call that drastic.

It’s time to block out the outside noise. Myles brennan is the qb and leader of this team. Please respect that. This kid can work his way into being a top 10 pick this year. I don’t know about y’all, but Vol is riding with MB.

Just how long have you been listening to Finebaum? Good, bad, or ugly, he & I, on & off, go back decades. The fact that he has all these sources means nothing when his bottom line is making his show successful. He is Jerry Springer II.
