Some of y’all are still shell shocked by Les Miles’ tenure. Talking yourself into the bull shite you are spewing has to be hard. Myles Brennan is not Justin fields. Even if Fields has 4 weeks to get ready I’m taking him

I haven’t heard much on that front recently but the last I heard I know we felt great about it. This is one of those situations where I feel like no news is good news. Doesn’t seem like he’s one of those that wants to make a spectacle of his recruitment. So I would say I feel very confident we get him, but then again... what do I know? Today I’m just a guy on his couch with his dog watching hockey.

Sounds brutal. I got the last 2 LSU football seasons saved on DVR if you need me to help you out there Vol.

Grand response.
I've seen your posts so I know you aren't a liberal but this is a liberal response. Instead of taking time to actually discern what I was trying to relay to you, you'd rather dumb down(or just be yourself) and use insults because you can't debate without getting rustled.
The holier than thou attitude you have because many on here hero worship you doesn't hold water with me and is why you have detractors here(of which I am not one as I actually value the info you bring). Just don't patronize me because you one, dont agree with what I post, two, don't take the time to read responses of people that differ in opinion from you. Now pardon me why I suck on this lollipop.

Just ignore me, I’m a grouchy old a-hole. Hopefully hard feelings!

But to answer your question as to how I know both parties are interested, I know people that work “adjacent to the decision makers of the program.” When I asked if we had any shot at landing fields they told me that they had talked to someone, again, adjacent to that program(OSU),and they said he would jump at the opportunity. I was told our side would jump at the opportunity. So really we just need to wait and see if the NCAA is going to open this thing up and let the players that want to play find a place to play.
I’ve never considered myself to be an insider, nor claimed to be. I’m just a regular guy, for whatever reason, knows more about the inner workings of the program than the average tiger fan, and I share that info because I would want that info shared with me. As stated earlier I’m just a regular guy on the sofa watching playoff hockey with the puppy today.

So, sorry if you already answered this, but is this indicative of maybe they're not as big on Brennan as they're telling the media, or is it just "you can't pass on Fields"?

ETA I know it's still a business, but I've been personally pulling hard for Myles. He's put in the work, especially this offseason, and I want to say I saw Chase mention they had a great chemistry going.

I dont think MB truly wants to play. I dont think he'll opt out, but I dont think hes gung-ho on playing.
So if they get Fields, thatd give him an out and he'd opt out then I believe.
And I think the coaches know this.

Didn't his girlfriend's grandfather die of COVID? If he truly doesn't want to play, I can imagine she's a big proponent of that.

IDK, that is why I am curious as to if anyone knows anything concrete or if this is just a bunch of us bored fans running with something inconsequential

I think it’s more of a situation where fields is a known commodity at this point. You plug him in and we’re the favorite to win the sec and go play in the playoff. Myles, although he has been here 4 years is still relatively unknown. Much like we didn’t know what we had in burrow u til he got hit in the mouth against UCF. It takes those games reps to truly know.

It’s my understanding that the staff is high on MB, as is anyone who’s watched him play. I mean, the kid is 6’4 220 now and can absolutely sling it. What’s not to love? I just hope he can either put his reservations behind him, or bow out before we get going. I’d hate to go into this season with our QB half in half out.

* I have not heard from anyone inside the program that MB openly does not want to play.*

I dont get it.
You say you hope myles will put his reservations behind him, then on the other hand say you havent heard it from inside the program
Is this all because he liked some shite on twitter?

When it comes down to it i dont think they are going to just let it be a free for all.

Dont think fields ends up here, just my 2 cents

Look, if you don’t want to compete with and against the best then maybe LSU isn’t the place for you... this isn’t LSU under Les Miles. Also.... maybe just stay the frick off twitter?
If it wasn't Vol, I would say this whole thread was started by a troll to fan the flames of questionable tweet likes against Myles. TBH I've generally appreciated Vol's contributions here, but lately I question that judgement.

Regardless the NCAA will not turn this season into a free for all transfer circus. That makes as much sense as Mother Theresa becoming a suicide bomber. They may be discussing it, but only regarding how they can best AVOID any more Covid inflicted damage.

Now if some insider told me the leadership at the NCAA has decided they've had enough dealing with all of this shite and decided to burn it all down, then maybe.
