Lol at the people calling him overrated. His measurable are identical to this year's great white hope, Christian McAffrey.

He's not ranked really highly bc he's an ATH.

TCU will be getting a stud 2 sport athlete. He could've contributed here as well.

Wish him the best of luck.

What a lazy thing to say. I could say, if this kid was black, this board wouldn't mention him at all.

Watch the clips from camp. This kid is not a slot WR. By his own cheerleaders admission on this board, he's not an SEC bell cow back either.

There are better WR targets and better RB targets. This couldn't be more cut and dry.

Paul Turner left LSU for several reasons. Funny he is now a WR for Philidelphia and doing well.

He got offered by LSU and chose not to jump on it and commit. Whose fault is that?

I suppose there's two things to remember, pseudo-silver linings:

1. He hasn't committed; if LSU changes their mind, there is still a window. Not much of one, literally days maybe even hours. However, I don't see LSU changing their mind. They've made their feelings known, and Slade has responded accordingly. It's how recruiting works.

2. Since LSU has made their feelings known, at least they aren't feeding Slade a line of bull about how he would be used. We don't know what LSU is looking for with Canada being new. We know he doesn't fit the bill for what Bama uses, so they might be feeding him a line. A TCU or a Clemson, probably no bull there. That's in the best interest of both parties, at least at this time. With Slade committing relatively early (as compared with other WRs LSU is after) if he's not a good fit for Canada and they fed him a line of bull to get him on board it could drive away another WR that is a better fit.

I don't know why Bolden doesn't fit what Canada (or CMJ) wants. But he doesn't, or they think there's noticeable/significant better recruits in-play; guess we'll see how the WR recruiting plays out to Feb. Judgement can be passed then.

He left because he was stuck behind NFL WRs at LSU

CEO decided he's going to have reevaluate how he builds a wall up around Louisiana in recruiting. He was having difficulty landing the 4* guys so went down to 3* now he's having trouble there. He will start grabbing the 2* guys and locking the state down from the venerable LA Tech and other beasts in recruiting.

In all seriousness, they need to do a better job finishing out. This class needs some real top heavy elite talent. It's solid right now but not great. It will fall out of the top 10 if it continues on this course and I expect some the bigger guys like Green will not sign here come NSD. That said, I'm struggling to see how we haven't been able to land a 5* RB considering LSU's success with them. 3 straight beast RBs at that in Hill, Fournette and Guice. I find it a little disturbing how many guys in our state are not even really considering LSU. I think what's obvious here is we're just going to have to accept even though we have a good recruiting HC...he's not on Miles level. Going to be a drop off in recruiting here under him. The fact Miles was able to lie to recruits every year and land 5* out the arse just goes to show you he was a master salesman.

What do you expect? O to tell him to hit the road? He's the face of the program, he has to be "great" AKA:PC with everyone.
He said O was great, he didn't say O was calling him every day begging him to commit.
You apply for a job...the HR guy is not going to tell ya to GTFO, he's going to say we'd love to have you interview. Even if he knows you don't have a chance.

It doesn't mean the staff is not acting as a unit!

This is a quote from DandyDon by Bolden "“Obviously growing up an LSU fan, I love it,” Bolden said. “Coach O is a great guy, but to go to a school where I want to go, I need the whole coaching staff on board. I didn’t feel that at LSU. It would have been easy for them if they would have shown me the same love these other schools did.”

So basically this kid is saying I grew up an LSU fan but the whole staff didn't drop everything and slobber all over me on a daily basis so I'll go to their arch rival. This kid is a complete narcissist and has no loyalty. I'll anxiously await his mediocre carer at Alabama or TCU.

This all day. Those knighting for him keep saying he loves LSU. He should have been committed. Wish him the best wherever he goes but LSU doesn't need him.

Just sounds like he didn't feel like everyone on board was recruiting his as much as he would like or as much as the other schools. Truthfully, if that's what he's looking for in a school then go ahead and go to tcu or bama. You get the offer, what else do you want? I'm sure someone has given him the tour and the ra ra already. Does he really need everyone to call him all the time? Maybe the janitor lost the number? Sorry bud

Or maybe just maybe we have a headcoach who by all accounts is a figure head when it comes to gameplanning and is "letting the coordinators do the work". Then when you have no input to your role from the offensive staff during recruitment it is only natural to question if said place is the best fit for you.

Or maybe not. Maybe Canada feeds O his ideas of each recruit and what they would be doing in the offense and O does everything the exact way he is supposed to and the kid just doesn't want to go to LSU because he is unsure of what that offense that was explained to him will actually look like.

So like I said. Hes being fed information 3rd hand from a HC who is admittedly hands off with both units but in particular the offense. What good reason does he have to be sure that whats being fed to him isnt just sunshine being pumped up his rear end?

If LSU was intentionally slow playing him then I would imagine his recruitment would look very similar to above. Just because a guy loves LSU doesnt mean it is the best opportunity for him to succeed athletically. If they arent intentionally slow playing him then this is a terrible way to recruit a guy.
