6 pages for a 3 star player. I don't get it. Good luck to Bolden at either Bama or TCU. Next.

I keep seeing this repeated over and over. All due respect to Bolden but Trey Quinn was one of the best HS WRs in state history. Don't get me wrong Bolden is a good ball player but comparing him to Quinn just isn't an accurate comparison.

Quinn was one of the top 10 WRs coming out of HS. He was a 4 star blue chipper ranked as the 78th overall player in the country according to 247. Bolden on the other hand is currently sitting at 826.

So we missed out on the #826 player in the country. It happens.

That's because they're both white.

I don't know why TCU has made so many inroads in Louisiana either. I don't think there are any ties on their coaching staff. I just looked and its mostly comprised of mostly old farts

Patterson is picking up nice 3* athletes that were never really on LSU's "high priority" list, or "must have" recruiting board. Search the TCU 2017 Roster and confirm which current players from LA that LSU offered and truly missed out on. The answer is nobody. LSU did offer 4* WR Isaiah Graham (2016) out of Bastrop, but he was likely the 4th best WR choice behind Anderson, Davis, and Sullivan.

This was mentioned earlier in the thread, TCU just hired Brett Lemoine as Director of HS Relations... look where he's from.

Although 2018 4* QB Justin Rogers has verbally committed to TCU, he still hasn't faxed in his LOI. Anything can happen between now and the signing date.

What ties do they have to WM other than 3 stars that LSU didnt offer before Bolden?

That's it... it's REALLY simple.

LA has so much talent, it's just smart business for TCU and others to come for the "scraps". And those scraps are pretty damn good ball players.

Chucky Hunter was better than Mickey Johnson I can guarantee you.

I could argue that both Lathan and McFarland also were better than some of our defensive players themselves.

I still consider John Diarse leaving a result of the system and not his ability to get on the field whatsoever. So, it isn't just 'scraps' they are fielding.
