NABERS. BOUTTE. ANDERSON. That would be a historically good LSU WR room.

1. Chase, Jefferson, Marshall
2. Doucet, Bowe, Sklyer Green, LaFell
3. Clayton, Reed, (Jack Hunt/Blaine Bech)?
4. OBJ, Jarvis, James Wright

No Buster Davis in #2? Am I confusing years? I thought he’d have been with those other guys ahead of Lafell. Buster was a G.

Those guys are definitely hard to beat. However, I think with the addition of Anderson to what we have and incoming will make this WR room the most deep and talented of the bunch on paper in a very long time.

Look at all these names:
Boutte
Nabers
Thomas
Anderson
Lacy
Hilton
Sampson (5 star recruit)
Brown (high 4 star recruit)
Parker (4 star recruit)

That WR group mentioned above is a much deeper and balanced group then ‘19 and ‘12 imo.

Dont forget about Lafell, Doucet and Byrd in 2007. Had Byrd's career not gotten derailed by that car accident he likely would have had a good pro career too.

He wasn’t playing due to injury and they have guys coming in constantly . It’s hard to be happy if your hurt and don’t see an obvious path on the field.

And, how in the hell do we know whether or not saban tried to get him to stay or not?

It’s gonna be hard for anyone to come in and start for us at wideout . We need to sell him on being a returner too because it’s obvious to portal guys that we’re not gonna have an easy path to start at wr .

We do rotate a lot at wr, so that’s something to sell him as well.

Kinda off topic but,
I’m hoping Hilton gets healthy and more opportunities because he’s a different type wr than what we’ve had

While I agree that on paper the group of WRs we have look great on paper, the determining factor will be QB. 2019 (Chase, Marshall, Jefferson) and 2013 (Landry and Beckham) hell even 2007 had QBs who could get them the ball. I think the consensus of this board and the media was our WRs would be the strength of the team this year. We didn’t get to see that because we had problems with the QB getting them the ball. Let’s hope whoever the QB is next year, let’s it fly. Geaux Tigers!

I’m not sure about that in college but he might have the most NFL career potential in the group

Shea asked to keep that in the board, but you keep doing what you’re doing.

What’s your user name on the On3 board?
