Doesn’t look like LSU has a commitment from any player from Texas? Can’t recall us not plucking a few top players from there.

We also didn’t have Texas and OU in the same conference as us. That’s where they get the majority of their talent. Add in Texas A&M and now Texas Tech is throwing bags around, things are getting crowded. Even Oregon has made headway into Texas now. They have a few Texans on their roster.

Our Texas recruiting took a huge hit when the Texas teams started joining the SEC.

That’s why I was against letting Texass and Oklahoma in. I felt it would hurt LSU the most. Houston area has always been good to LSU as well as east Texas. No more

ATM has been in since 2012… it did not hurt Texas recruiting. UT hasn’t been in long enough to know that impact. Both false.

quote:Are you not seeing the absence of anyTexas recruits for LSU this year as problematic results of the Texas/OU entry into the SEC. Oh and the NIL, of course. LSU’s relatively puny $25 mil NIL war chest can’t match combined Texas dollars being thrown around in that state.

Plenty of talent to go around in Texas if you look in the right places

Was it like that before Katrina? Or was that just the big crop of families that had relocated which have now come and gone
