No it won’t
Everyone who follows recruiting has already chalked him up as a miss

His Dad isn’t, he wants Dom to make his own decision on commitment, his Mom on the other hand is the one with most influence

In the past we lost these players to Bama.
Now it's the highest bidder.
Just the way it is now.
It's money that can help these families out before they ever play a NFL snap. Can't blame them.

LSU football generated $38.5M in revenue for ticket sales alone in 2022. Why isn't LSU the highest bidder? Each school can only take 25 kids. LSU could afford to pay what the most expensive class in the history of college football recruiting cost.

I know you’re an idiot based off of this comment, but NIL has zero to do with school revenue or ticket sales.

To anyone expressing concern about recruiting; how much to you give to the NIL collective?

Kelly has said he's not getting into bidding wars. Going back to Jacoby Matthews the S from Ponchatoula, where it's said A$M's offer was $384k and LSU wouldn't match it. So he cries but goes to Aggieville with the $$$. It's an interesting and at times, frustrating era of college football.

How can it be a miss if McKinley never truly wanted to go to LSU ?
If he was die-hard and wanted to play in TS on Saturday nights, he would have already made it publicly known, regardless of when LSU offered.
LSU NIL could offer him $1M and he's still very much infatuated with Texas.
You believe everything the dad is telling you, as Dominick wants to do his own thing and LSU isn't in the picture.
Based on his actions and talk, he was NEVER high on LSU and wanted to explore OOS options.
Official Visits - 6/2 tOSU, 6/9 - A&M, 6/16 - OU, 6/23 - Texas, not even an LSU official visit ??? and his commitment date is 12 days away on 9/2

FWIW, on 11/7/22 he wasn't even ranked - NR (So. and most of his Jr. year)
LSU offered McKinley on 1/27/23 - after UT, OU, A&M, and before UGA and tOSU.
on 2/23/23, he blew up to a 5-star and ranked #102 nationally ...
You can't make a horse drink water, as it's obvious McKinley has no thirst for LSU.

He said that but it really isn't true

D. Ricks, Womack, Simmons, Dom, etc LSU was either at the top or close to the top on offers

LSU might structure theirs a little different sometimes though where up front money might be a little less

Speaking of which, I'm actually surprised the 186 billionaires & celebrity-making machine in California didn't make USC/UCLA & the PAC-12 a CFB force, much less let it implode. (Maybe they are all carpet-baggers with no Cali school affiliations ???)

Same goes for New York and their 135 billionaires. The northeast schools technically should be making noise like it's 1933 all over again.

I also thought Oregon was gonna be an NIL powerhouse with the NIKE money & athlete branding.

The state of Texas has 73 billionaires, and while they do get some top prospects to attend their colleges, there's not a contender, much less a powerhouse, in the whole state.

It's all very curious.

Losing Speedy and Gerald Willis will set us back years. And losing Hootie Jones might be the end of the program. Suicide is my only option. But only after I shitpost thusly.

No clue about inside info
But I don’t think McKinley was ever a lock, if so why not commit??
And as for Mack, it seems like he wants to play a different position than what Lsu is offering him and to me the wringing on the wall was when we took commitment from the oos CB a month are so ago, I forgot his name!!
But Lsu will be fine regardless, yes I really wanted both but McKinley even more for future wise, but it is what it is, I hope we land em both but if not, oh well, they are tiger bait
