Some other concerns with Dillingham are that he never played college football and that both FSU and Oregon dramatically improved after he left.

While he was the offensive coordinator at FSU, in 2020 and 2021, FSU ‘s offense averaged 396 ypg and 376 ypg, going 3-6 and 5-7 respectively. The year after he left they averaged 484 ypg and went 10-3.

While he was the OC at Oregon, Oregon averaged 500 YPG ( very good offense) and the year after he left, playing a more difficult schedule, they improved to 531 YPG and went 12-2 playing in the Rose Bowl.
Or see who the new President and AD hires are and who/if annyone influenced them.
So how did the recent vote go for the new President? Who got the most votes?
Disappointing.

Hickey was ahead of at least two scholarship players on the team.
Matt House taking care of some of his defenders at LSU.
LSU made $38.44 million, a significant jump after one of the department's primary sources of revenue earned only $5.69 million in the 2020 fiscal year. Contributions also rose across the board, jumping to $73.85 million from $19.8 million the previous fiscal year. Jan 25, 2023

In the past we lost these players to Bama.
Now it's the highest bidder.
Just the way it is now.
It's money that can help these families out before they ever play a NFL snap. Can't blame them.

LSU football generated $38.5M in revenue for ticket sales alone in 2022. Why isn't LSU the highest bidder? Each school can only take 25 kids. LSU could afford to pay what the most expensive class in the history of college football recruiting cost.

It is crazy that LSU is going to allow this to happen for a third year in a row.
Matt O’Dowd is the 4th string QB that traveled to every game this year.

Jack Rilling is a backup WR that starts on special teams

The lack of depth is part of the problem, but it's not like we are throwing out walk-ons to cover kicks. Our coverage unit in SEC games has included players like Harold Perkins, Jaray Jenkins, Joe Foucha, Jarrick Bernard-Converse, Demario Tolan, and Micah Baskerville. Coaches with just as little time and scholarships available have performed well with these players. The depth and scholarships does not provide a pass.

Maybe they should consider more walk-ons. The coverage units improved dramatically once they added #89 Jack Rilling to them for the last two games. He almost blocked a punt vs Ole Miss as well.
Shareef O’Neal would be a great final piece.

If the walk on QBs didn’t get a chance to play in the bowl, they never will.

One of the walk ons broke his foot or he would have played in the bowl. The injury has kept him out of Spring practice as well. Same injury that Major Burns has.
It will be interesting to see if this is who they are pursuing after passing on a few others. Jayden Daniels is an above average runner for a qb but a below average passer. Even in his best games he misses very easy throws and makes easy completions difficult for the WR. The USC game this year is a good example of what his best games look like.

This would be good indication of the direction of the offense.

Geaux Tigers!

Clemson TE transfer Jaelyn Lay wants to come to LSU
I’ve been in contact with Jaelyn and he wants to come to LSU. He’s a big body frame ( 6-6, 260lb ) but he haves quick speed for his size and can catch the ball anywhere on the field

Great prospect, would be a great addition to the team. And he has the work ethic to graduate in 2.5 years???

Let’s hope they are talking.
Developing players and we’re undefeated this year…

I understand he wasn't a good gm, but much of that was because of things out if his control but in the end who gives a shite if he was a good gm or not? Was a dang good nfl coach, better than Saban, on par with carrols first round before he became gm and ruined everything. Did wonders with hackenburg at psu and was National coach of the year after his first season with PSU. They had been decimated with sanctions after the Sandusky thing.
Won 4 division titles in his 1st 6 years in the nfl, finished 2nd one other time.
Only really got one full recruiting cycle under him at psu and was only allowed to take 15 players. Was able to get 1 five star, 3 four stars and the rest 3 stats to finish 4th int he conference. Recruiting would be his one unknown.

Add on the fact that only 6 coaches in the NFL at that time made the playoffs 4 out of 6 years. Some great coaches like John Harbaugh did not. BTW, The Texans were 2-14 the year before O’Brien got there. Also, Tom Brady had his first 5,00 yard season playing for O’Brien as the OC. The year in the Alabama machine is gravy.

Of all the coaches still being mentioned, only Lincoln Riley has a better resume. It will be interesting to see who gets the job.

Scott Linehan was calling all of the plays last year.

Peetz is doing fine.
It's great to see our LSU Olympians succeeding, such great representatives of the University.
