Should have offered cam sims./thread

That was a package deal and LSU wasn't going to offered a package deal.
Sims was wearing the pants in that relationship. IF bama oversign this year then LSU needs to do the same thing.
However, people are watching to see if any SEC school oversign this year. MR Sec had a report about Tenn oversigning the following week they dropped booth.

it's hard to say how much it is hurting, if any, at the end of the day the staff usually puts together a great class. However, it does add to the "noise" that the staff has to deal with, which just makes their job a little tougher. It also gives rival coaches more ammo to negatively recruit. If you're a fan of the program, why would you want your words/actions to benefit your opponents and cause more work for your team?

Again you are giving yourself too much credit here.

Why is this so hard to believe for you? The OP quoted a reporter in touch with an LSU commit that said he reads the message board stuff and it concerns them. How much evidence do you need?

so should everyone goto bama or other rivals schools sites and set up fake accounts and bash recruits to get even.

The great leader and his minions in gumpville will not allow it. Les has lost control over message boards and a disloyal fan base.

perhaps you shouldn't be so easily offended....

Bad comprehension. OP is talking about recruits being turned off by constant negativity.

it's a 17 year old kid, let him go

Don't bad mouth the kid, the program, and those recruiting him for LSU.

jimmy just tweeted this. You shouldn't be telling kids negative things about schools. Especially the one they're committed to. #Going2GetExposed #Fraud

Wonder who that was aimed at? Rival recruiting "analyst"?

Agreed. LSU has a fan base full of chicken littles and dumb asses who constantly over criticize the coach.

Disagree, this board has an inordinate about of jack offs that are at most .01% of LSU fans

Ill also say, that to think that LSU fans are the worst is a little short sighted. There are "those" kinds of fans at every school, they are just exposed to "those" fans at LSU because they live here.

great post. this goes on everywhere. we think we are the worst because we are exposed to our own. sure, the majority of posters may not be as happy go lucky as say iowa hawkeye or minnesota golden gopher supporters but they aren't as passionate as a lot of our fans. this stuff means a lot to a ton of people here and for some, right or wrong, is the glue that holds their life together.

short story, most recruits know that at the end of the day, this is a small sample size, not the majority of the 93k that will be cheering for them on gameday. it is not going to affect their final decision at the end of the day as much as ppl think. there may be a small portion that affects it, but it is also a small portion of fans who behave this way.

the people that comnplain about this stuff and freak out about it to the point where you can't as much as critique a play or a player make recruiting and following the sport just as un-fun as those who do such. everyone needs to just get a grip.

i have plenty of other thoughts on this matter, but i don't want to get banned.

The choice is yours. You can either post your emotionally fueled rants about recruits and the families or save this program from falling. We can disagree with recruits and continue to be respectful. Thug behavior is just that, thug behavior, whether it is on the internet or in your immediate vicinity. I hope that as fans and a community that we give our children better examples.

I don't know, but you have every right to not be his fan. There's just no need to broadcast it on a message board complete with profanity, questions about his character, allegations of family sell-outs, etc.

This. Dear Lord, this. Some people on here suffer from a disorder where they think every thought in their head needs to be put on display for all to see. You don't like a kid's decision to go to LSU's rival? Too fricking bad! Back away from the keyboard and go outside. Fans slamming the kid, his family, etc. online certainly isn't gonna do anyone any good, except of course, our rivals, who'll use these little meltdowns to show recruits that we are quick to turn on kids and possibly help drive even more away.

Negativity does hurt recruiting, and there is more than enough around here. I have been as guilty as anyone lately and have tried to curb my overeaction to on field going ons and such. Les is a good coach who the players love, and this class can be special if it shapes up like the some think.

This is like the arse hole at the Furman game who cheering loudly at the pick 6 Mett threw. Some of our fans are just ridiculous and want the program to do bad so they can prove they were right all along.

It kills them that LSU finished strong this year. And it's gonna kill them when we finish strong in recruiting.

My Dad played football for Bill Arnsparger and Mike Archer and won two SEC titles but also played on two losing teams. My sister is in school now at LSU. I went to LSUA but I was in line every week for student tickets. It's an honor and a fricking privilege to be fans of such an outstanding university and football program. We graduate great young men who excel at the professional level. If you don't want to be apart of it I will gladly pay more money to shore up what we lost just to get the nega tigers out of here.

If you hear some clown trashing the team or our coaches, ask them to their face not to be a fan. There's criticism that's constructive and there's even concerns but some people just need to take off the P&G and put on something else.

All that matters at the end of the day is that we love our tigers and love every single one of them who puts on a uniform or a coaches shirt to represent us. In that regards we will always beat Bama.
