Hopefully the Tigers will still sign the type of class we are anticipating, getting most of the uncommitted highly ranked LA players playing in the All Star games next month.
I do think it would be interesting if after NSD some of the media would ask Coach Miles how he feels about the impact of social media and fan message boards on recruiting. It seems like the questions are always about certain recruits, but more could be asked about these type of topics at that time as well.

I don't know, but you have every right to not be his fan. There's just no need to broadcast it on a message board complete with profanity, questions about his character, allegations of family sell-outs, etc.

That's the problem.
Messageboards and social media are where our own chicken littles are cutting their throats by badmouthing Miles. There are also fans of other teams who pose as LSU fans that are a problem. Not much you can do about it honestly.

I don't trash kids. I may disagree with others about their abilities, but I'm respectful about it.
If recruits get that bothered by what a random message board person says, most of which never played football, then that says more about them. All fans talk trash about their teams. It's not just LSU. None of these trash talkers would ever think about saying this to your face. If it bothers you, don't read it. But also know that every school has these fans.

Then we need our coaches telling these kids that TD is a board that ALL fan bases can come to and spout any opinion they have.
Other schools won't allow this (especially Bama).

I'm sorry to say, but if a kid is swayed by a message board then he didn't truly want to be apart of LSU. Now if a kid decides to not come to a school because of morons who were never good nuff to play college ball but also thinks there gods gift to football. Then the kid was never intrested in coming to LSU. Now granted some of the crap needs to stop. On our end and their end. Everyone needs to pick up their big girl panties and grow a pair an enjoy LSU football and baseball and the other sports, if that's what your into.

When what happens here impacts recruiting, changes need to be made, IYAM. Nobody wants a site of koolaid drinkers, but obvious trolls and shite stirrers get too wide a latitude.

Because they have been winning enough not to expose it. Also on their boards, they just allow pro Bama stuff or bashing of the opponent. But no we are too scared of the opponent's feelings around here. The Cade death threats and Bama fan killing another should be stickied on all the boards for everyone to see. Either play hardball or get run over.

True. Unfortunately that is a perception.
However, what happens on here for the world to see is sometimes sickening. We have some terrible "fans" who frequent this board. The response to kids choosing to attend schools other than LSU is atrocious by many. We all hate that it our prized recruit choose to play for our mortal enemy, but there is a classy, adult way to respond. Many don't get that.

We are maybe... MAYBE half as bad as Bama fans in that regard. Unless you can point me out on a yearly basis where LSU fans kill each other or shoot others over a game. Mike Shula wasnt exactly sent off to ride into the sunset. Mike DuBose who wasnt a bad coach and won an SEC Championship was replaced after one bad season.
