Why do you sound like such a bitch then? And you aren't alone. There are plenty just like you on here. Are you so blind that you believe that this same thing doesn't happen for every fan base? Welcome to the big leagues. Grow a pair and thicken your skin. Good god! You are one of the whiniest ones

because it gives them national championships and top recruiting classes year in and year out...and if the truth be known they probably spend twice that amount through "private donations"

Because they have to. The majority of that money goes to airfare for coaches and official visitors. Bama is forced to recruit nationally because there is more competition in state. Tennessee spends a shite ton on recruiting because there are basically no prospects in TN.

LSU recruits the majority of their players within driving distance.

Small % of dumbass LSU fans

+

Large % of bama trolls pretending to be LSU fans

=

Doom..

Hopefully these recruits realize they are being trolled more times than not. If it sincerely is an LSU fan, every fan base has idiots. Look at the bama "fans' threatening to kill the kicker.

This country has gone to hell and a handbasket! So recruits are more concerned about what a bunch of nerds are posting on TD than they are about death threats and people getting murdered over a loss? Sure didn't seem to matter to Hootie.

No but where there is smoke there is fire right????

If you google most things involving LSU sports this website will be sited. Due to the organic strength of this site and amount of visitors it always displays high.

TD.com is like the tabloids for LSU. The TMZ if you will.

Take Cam Robinson for instance. IN his 9th-11th grade year he could come on this website and read all kinds of negativity about Coach Stud and every year how he needs to be fired. Then the same coach shows up at your doorstep.

To some it may not make a huge deal but you and I both know that you are going to look at this guy a little weird.

If the voice of the fans (TD.com) isn't supporting him why do you think he will be around much longer plus you have read how incompetent he is.

I am just saying it has an impact whether we chose to admit it or not.

Alabama is right dab in the middle of some of the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country. West Monroe is as close driving to Tuscalousa as it is to Baton Rouge.

They are a top team in football all time. While LSU tries to focus on spending little money to lock down the state and failing at it. Alabama is speding the money trying to lock down the southeast quadrant of the united states.

If the voice of LSU fans had to always remain positive we would still have Smoke Laval, Gerry Dinardo,Trent Johnson or John Brady.

Would you rather Smoke Laval show up at your door or Paul Minieri?

So somehow Alabama never bashed anyone in the Mike Shula days?? really?

That may not have affected Hootie but I'm certain it is def doing damage to others esp kickers that are considering that school in the future

ah I knw for a fact that with so much to overcome in North LA...we give the recruits all the excuses they need to say no to LSU.

We claim family values but when a DB gets beat we say bench him. When Les shows loyalty to a kid and sticks with him we say LEs is a idiot. But yet we want parents to send there kids here.

The hypocrisy is at a all time high. We rationalize hating on Landon Collins because he choose to go out of state but brag about getting Anthony Jennings from GA.

We have a voice and I know that I would do my research before sending my kid to a school and yes this site is a place I would go to see what is going on. For every idiot there is a recruitnik or guru.

ETA: Just curious if a Cam Robinson knew your screen name and approached you asking about what you thought about coach Stud.....would you say he should be fired or would you lie to the recruit?

If you would talk positive about him then why come on TD>com and dog him???

Yes, they're right in the middle of that territory along with half a dozen other schools who are big time programs. They have to cast a much wider net and reach further up the east coast to get 25 than we do.

You keep saying money is buying results while LSU is penny pinching... What exactly is it you think that money is used for?

There is a big difference in those guys and Miles that wins 10 games year in and year out. Plus, there's ways to express concerns without using some of the language that is used on this board.

see, that would be relatively good for the program.....its just that some admins here delete threads attempting to set the record straight or at least be fair to some coaches. That was straight up bullshite.

Alabama is hot right now. They can get away with playing players and we saw it with documented evidence. Cant compare ourselves to them.

we aren't snatching Alabama players every year. (Know I know, but that 1!)

Bama has beat us the past 3 games.....how do you turn it around winning recruiting battles. We have lost 2 so far this year.

We aren't bama and they aren't LSU.

You can say what you want about the country and the technology era but it is what it is. Every kid out there now has a computer, a smart phone, whatever. They have access to twitter, facebook, tons and tons of pure information that wasn't present 20 years ago. To think that CHILDREN being inundated with all of this information has no effect on them is being naive.

If you are a top recruit then you are likely looking at the above and trying to figure out why the best player isnt playing. Good players are never going to be in favor of coaches playing favorites.

What is left out is that many recruits are fans too especially Louisiana recruits and think the same way regardless of what they read on a message board.

If Im a LB recruit today I have two trains of thought. I should be able to come in and play right away. However would I? It looks like there is favoritism going on.

If Im a QB recruit I look back at the whole JJ, JLee fiasco and think the same way. Coaches are hurting themselves there.

Bottom line.. Im far more concerned about the school itself than its fans. Im not aware of LSU fans bashing Louisiana recruits that come here. So how would that make them want to go somewhere else?

We need to stop comparing recruits that are LSU targets/commits/potential commits in the same class. (We need to stop comparing hs kids who might eventually become teammates, period. Although, I understand that's probably an unrealistic thing to ask for) One kid has to be lesser than another and it's a lose/lose situation for us. Nothing positive can come from it. However, any recruit that's thinking of going to any major program has to have thick skin or they won't last long.
