Oh okay I thought you were implying players weren't getting paid back then. I think it was still a good chunk of change but I agree that it wasn't on this level.

This is everything wrong now with college sports. Kid and his family pitting schools against each other to get him to sign with nothing to make sure he actually stays.

HS recruits haven’t yet proved themselves in in college
that NiL money could be better spent on the transfer portal
