If he's averaging 9 points, thats not bad, how many assists?
Posted on 2/10/11 at 6:21 pm to josh336
20 assist and 27 turnovers in 8 games. Considering their competition those stats are very bad.

We still need a true PG. Stringer is a SG running the point. He would be a lot more affective at the 2. Any chance on picking up a PG with this class. Possibly a JUCO guy?

ross-miller didn't play in their first 15 or 20 games or whatever....not even listed on box scores as a DNP....im thinking he transferred in at the end of the semester and his PT has slowly increased since then??
also...congrats to o'bryant....glad to hear some good news on the recruiting front with all the negative talk lately.....

We've had other McDonald's All-Americans that weren't one and done. In our history we've had one. Not to mention if he is good enough to be one and done, he is going to be averaging double figures in points, and nearly double figures in rebounds. If he can provide play that good, we may be a tourney team and that would be pretty good.
With that said, I don't think he's a one and done player as every McDonald's All-American isn't necessarily leaving after one year.

If he's that good, I won't be too upset.
Also, I scanned and didn't see it mentioned but Krystal Forthan was named to the west squad in the girl's game.
Another thing, how is Brad Beal out of St. Louis on the east team while Austin Rivers will play for the west? I know they try to balance it out sometimes but it's unfair to put Rivers and Teague in the same backcourt.

Most of the players representing "the West" squad actually live in the East.

Obryant makes Mcdonalds AA. team
People think I'm crazy, but I think LSU has a chance to be very good next year. This starting line up would win 20+ games, IMO:
PG Stringer
SG Turner
SF Derenbecker
PF O'Bryant
C Hamilton
Bench
PF White
SF Ludwig
SG Isaac
PF Warren
PF Green
We need more guards that can shoot.
Aaron Dotson??

Agreed. Trust me when I say Isaac fits that bill.

FWIW Zach Kinsley is the leading scorer at UNO. They literally play teams that couldn't beat my high school.

Class of 2011 PF Johnny O'Bryant has trimmed changed his list of schools, according to Rivals. O'Bryant, who was previously quoted as considering Georgetown, Mississippi, Mississippi State, LSU, Georgia Tech, Kansas and Kentucky, is now listing Maryland, Miami, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Alabama and LSU as possible suitors.
Yes, O'Bryant trimmed three schools from his list - Georgetown, Kentucky and Kansas, and added three more - Maryland, Alabama and Miami. Don't understand the logic, but then again, I'm not a 17-year old basketball star.
As a Georgetown fan, this is certainly disappointing but not surprising. O'Bryant was a long-shot to begin with and will likely end up being a one-and-done player. We all hoped new assistant coach Robert Kirby's Mississippi ties could get us into the party but looks like it was not enough.
On the bright side, O'Bryant added two schools, Maryland and Miami, that are also pursuing local big man Mikael Hopkins, who Georgetown has extended an offer to as well.
Looks like he will start and play one year at LSU, where no one else promised him that, and then turn Pro.......
Way to go Trent?????? Is this really building a program?
