The way he writes, I don't think this kid's going to have a problem academically. Not at LSU.

But it is kinda concerning, that Max only completed 38% of his passes this past season. I have read that his HS team is really bad, and that a lot of it may be dropped passes etc.
if you watch his highlight video, a bunch of his pass attempt clips are cut short before the receiver catches the ball. I figured that a lot of them were drops. No one wants to see drops in a highlight video

Is it just me or does his HS offense reflect LSUs quite a bit? A lot of 2 and 3 receiver sets, play action deep bombs (he has protection) and deep out routes

His stats are no concern to me and shouldn't be for anyone else.

First of all, he is throwing to high school kids who are clearly inferior talent.

Secondly, he seems to throw downfield a lot which makes completing passes even more difficult. I would much rather have a kid who has experience in an offensive scheme where they actually throw the ball versus another kid who has inflated stats because all he does is dink and dunk.

This kid's deep ball is on point

Awesome accuracy and quick release. His highlights look like a fricking SEC qb already.

Offered by Ohio State. That alone is good enough for me.

i wonder what this means for TJ from Ponchatoula. Kid is massive with a Jamarcus Russel type arm but apparently he had a down year and has an attitude problem.

Not that it means anything, but I knew Max's grandfather and father way back when. As solid and good of a family as you could for with a kid who's going to represent your school for 4 years. Congrats! Good get.

Probably the only CSB in my bag but a couple of summers back one of my children attended a WinShape Camp (associated with Chick-Fil-A and highly recommended) at Mt. Berry, GA. Before the closing ceremony, I got there early and was sitting on a park bench when an older gentlemen came along we began to talk.

He would inform me he was Brad Johnson's dad and then went on to tell me about Max. I put in a good word for us but that seemed like a long shot. Glad Max's committed to us.

Brennan will never start at LSU. Think back to when O took over and didn't show Brennan any love, which led to him opening his recruitment. Reading between the lines O didn't want him because he didn't think he fit the system he wants and only started re-recruiting him because we desperately needed qb depth and other options were gone. Couple that with Salisbury and its very obvious Max is the future and starts very early in his career at LSU.

Those stats on Max Preps are dead arse wrong. Not sure what his exact stats are, but I KNOW those aren't them.

They certainly seem fishy. I know he had over 200 yards in their first game, so that would mean he had under 80 yards per game for the rest of the season

This is great news.

I hope LSU can hold on to him.

Can LSU hire his father as an assistant coach, without the NCAA questioning it?

This is probably the 5th time one of you mouthbrbreathers have given me some smartass answer to a question, then quote my name if I fire back . I get it, but I’m still gonna respond. Because I’m not actually serious. Or mad. Geaux Tigers.

Not sure how you can say this. First, both Lowell and Justin transferred out and their skill set is different from Myles. Second, what is O's system? Does anyone know?
