Sure we should absolutely hit the portal hard for studs but I thought the 4 freshmen we played have a reasonably high ceiling if they stick it out and develop.
How many of the 4 want to come back...
The reason they are pushing total overhaul is likely to get ahead of them leaving...

The class will be deemed all world before the season. Once sec play commences, excuses will come in force on how McMahon didn't have enough money, Wade hurt his feelings, too many injuries, the players aren't doing what the genius wants them to do,etc.

Did anyone watch Tulane this year? Kam Williams is from La and averaged 9.3 pts and 4.5 rebounds on 48.5% fg and 41.2% 3pt. He was a freshman at 6'8", 190 lbs.

Kam is definitely a take. He will be getting power 4 looks. NBA potential. I’ve seen Kentucky has already reached out but haven’t heard news regarding us or any other teams. Will be very surprised if we don’t try to bring him in.

Really interesting how Chest’s numbers aren’t far off at all against the best conference in the nation

Stop with the basketball. Jesus.

You went to a pinned thread about basketball recruiting to tell people to stop taking about basketball?
Here’s an idea. Are you an adult? If you are not interested in basketball…ignore the topics about basketball. There are 15 threads on the front page about baseball. I’m not a big baseball fan. But rather than implore people who are to stop talking about it I just choose to ignore the thread.

It’s a stickied thread you weiner.

Definitely a take but not sure he is going to forgo the bigger programs that have contacted him for this LSU team.
My younger son played basketball with his older brother Greg and I know the family, or at least did some time ago. His dad posted that these teams have expressed an interest now that he has entered the portal. I do not know that these are in any particular order. I get the sense that Kentucky may be the lead dog here.
Kentucky
Arkansas
Florida
Texas Tech
Louisville
BYU
Houston
Michigan
St Johns (his brother Greg played here his first 3 seasons)
Texas A&M
Texas
Miss State
Baylor
Clemson
Memphis
Others
Ohio State
Oklahoma State
Miami
Washington
SMU
USC
LSU
TCU
NC State
Virginia Tech
San Diego State
Cincinnati
Pittsburgh
Iowa
Nevada
ULL (His brother Greg finished his college career here)
Grand Canyon
Loyola Chicago

That has got to be wild. Having an entire recruiting season done in 4 weeks and trying to decipher between them all

Interested to see what the team will look like once they sign some players out of the portal.
Even with a bigger NIL budget McMahon still has to convince guys to come to LSU , guys that will have other offers .

Nyk lewis decommitted from Xavier. I believe LSU was in his final 4.
We are probably done with the high school class but maybe would be a bad one to get.
Top 50 recruit, 4 star pg.

Looking at a starting lineup rn of
1. Thomas
2. Mackinnon
3.King
4. Reed
5. Miller/Nowko
That is a bottom half of the SEC roster with all due respect

We're obviously not done, but Thomas alone makes us better than last year. With Givens and the freshmen, that's only 10 rostered. If we get the Simpkins brothers, and if any of the freshmen surprise us, plus improvement from Givens, and then we add another athletic wing, we'll be very competitive.

I’d say the only starters penciled in are Thomas, Miller and Reed. I believe we’re going to bring in a high level 2 or 3 still from the power 4 level

What do you base this on? You have no clue what the rest of the league has returning or what their portal haul will be. Despite the negativity in this board the Tigers were a lot closer to the middle third of the league than you believe. Add tile new firepower to the development of Miller and Givens plus the return of their leader.
