Again your retarted on this matter! Go post on the political board. You see a 3 star kid and just run your mouth without any true knowledge on the palyer. Or maybe theyve offered him for what coming through the pipeline. Maybe, maybe not!!
I tend to agree with your statement on taking lower rated recruits and trying to keep up with Bama and GA. Go get the big boys and best players at there position and stop settling. I have first hand knowledge on these kids.

We might need a recruiting board crackdown from admins.

Everything doesn't have to be all positive but this thread is infested with negative posts. The player who this thread is supposed to be about is very promising.

This is not the thread to complain about missing on other players. That would fall under threads about the other player, or general program topics, or threads about the recruiting class as a whole.

If LSU was sitting with CB commitments from Ellis Robinson and Ondre Evans and Wardell Mack and added this kid, that would be fantastic. You’d have a 5*, couple of 4* and a “sleeper” from a big time program coming in to a bare cupboard at the position. Iron on iron and all that. But because of the complete incompetency on the defensive side of the ball, we aren’t there.

Alabama and georgia didn’t build a dynasty developing 3 stars

Well Georgia did win back to back NC's with a 2* quarterback - not with 5* JT Daniels, 5* Justin Fields, 4* Jake Fromm or 4* Brock Vandagriff

We didn’t become DBU with three stars. PP7 isn’t coming through that door.

2 of the 3 DBs that made us DBU were in fact 3 stars.
DBU became a thing off the 2010-2011 defensive backfield the 3 most prominent members were Patrick Peterson Morris Claiborne and tyrann mathieu

Morris Claiborne ended as a 3 star and tyrann mathieu was a 3 star until near the end.

So you're just gonna ignore Cai Bates and Juan Johnson.

I wonder if people have actually counted the 3* at LSU or I’ll say underrated players at LSU who have made huge contributions and have been drafted? It’s a huge number. In fact we have had about the same amount of 5*s fail at LSU. Without those guys, we aren’t in LSU’s golden years. Again LSU gets enough 4* and 5* talent mixed in with these 3* guys to win championships so yes we can and still will win championships. We will get our share of high end talent to be able to compete in the playoffs coming up. We start developing these guys, they start producing and we will get the 5* players. Stamps beat out 4* and 5* talent. Stop please y’all make no sense.

Hot damn. Number 17 recruit in Mississippi for 2024.

I’m happy we got a player that the staff wants, and I hope he becomes an all American. I think a bold, sticky BREAKING in all caps was just begging for drama.

Not my fight, but technically “spelling” is not part of “grammer”, which is properly spelled “grammar”. So the poster who commented on your word choice “retarted”, was more questioning your spelling than your grammar. I think you might have better called him a “spelling nazi”.

But even so, I do not think he was so much commenting on the spelling part of “retarted” as much as the irony of misspelling “retarded” of all words. I’ve done worse in the irony dept, I once misspelled misspell. So maybe “irony nazi” would have been even a better response. Then there’s the added irony of calling him a grammer nazi, which I should have been a spelling nazi, and then misspelling grammar.

I would also argue that using “your” instead of you’re is a spelling issue, not a grammar issue, but there are some who still insist spelling is but a part of grammar, and its not. Spelling is the sequence of a series of letters used to form a word. Grammar is the step after spelling, as, in the broadest terms, it is the placement of words in a sentence.

Now, might one argue I’m being a dick and wasting people’s time with this overly nit-picky response? Yes, and I concede it’s a fair argument.

There was a time when flaming a recruits commitment thread would earn you a short time out.

I'm not one of those nostalgic people who think everything from back in the day was better, but I'd love to see a return to that level of moderation.

I remember when Jalen Mills signed, one of the paid scouts said, “ I don’t know which freshmen will play, but one for sure to get a Red-Shirt, Jalen Mills!”

Mills played at a high school in Tx, the other DB, was rated higher, signed with UTx. That Tx kid barely saw the field, ended up transferring. Mills, has been one to follow. Great player at LSU and the Pros.

The guy has a Super Bowl ring!

”Mills started all 13 games at cornerback his true freshman year at LSU in 2012, recording 57 tackles and two interceptions. As sophomore in 2013, he again started all 13 games, recording 67 tackles, three interceptions, and three sacks. As a junior in 2014, he started 12 games at safety and one at cornerback. He finished the season with 62 tackles and one interception. As a senior in 2015, Mills missed the first six games due to injury. Despite the missed time, he was named a 2015 All-American by CBS Sports.”
