Woodland is 6'0". He has the size and the offer list implies he is much better than just your run of the mill three star. Final rankings haven't come out and he is expected to rise. Evans certainly hurts but Woodland is not a scrub my any means.

Pulling a kid from Mississippi with OM and MSU offers is a hell of a pull.

I guess we should forget about developing people. 5 stars only or we just eat the scholarships. This board is miserable

Now all he’s missing is a good secondary coach at LSU to teach him

We don't have the luxury of being picky right now at corner. The depth is razor thin and we need guys who can develop in the program to stop relying on a portal overhaul. I have no idea if this kid will pan out, but we need high school corners badly.

I get your point but Kirby has actually put quite a few 3 stars into the NFL and usually has several key contributors that were 3 stars.

One of their current starters at safety was a 3 star IIRC.

We better get some superstar DB coaches to develop them, because Steeples can’t even get a 5 star ready to play. Get rid of Steeples, Go get Chevis Jackson, he has Marshall’s DB room cooking.

You're not wrong.

It's just a bit frustrating watching us recruit elite TEs, RBs, WRs, yet for some reason we're not bringing in the Top 100 CBs on a yearly basis like we use to.

Anyone can look at our CB offers last year and this year - we missed on a ton of top DBs and the coaches had to move way down on their board to get commitments. This isn't the way to rebuild an elite secondary.
