100% unequivocally true.
But I think Jay will use a lot of it to land more of the HS position players. Hence why I believe he will prioritize INF and mold the transfer class around that. At least on the hitting side, which needs significantly less rework than the pitching staff.

Sign me up for landing 2 position players the likes of Laskofski and Watters though. Either would have been the crowned jewel in this last class, much less landing both.

If the choice is getting Watters for one year or two freshman OFs, take the freshmen.
But we need a shortstop that can play now.

Bumping this link since the portal opens tomorrow and for anyone who’s interested in moose’s work.

Here is a spreadsheet I compiled of potential targets should they enter the portal. A lot of these guys were crowdsourced from this thread and browsing team pages for stats, etc. Red text players are guys that are either injured or likely to sign in the draft. I focused on guys that either are from a lower level d1 school, had a coaching change or had LA ties.

What happened to that Texas Tech program? Tadlock had it rolling and now they've invested money in football and softball. I guess baseball isn't getting much of anything? They have completely disappeared.

If tweet fails to load, click here. This guy plays catcher but also outfield. I assume if he wants to catch we won’t be the destination but it’s a potential 1st round guy…
