If tweet fails to load, click here. Followed by Jay Johnson and played for Nevada. May be a legit target here.
Edit - He is draft eligible as a sophomore.

I remember Yamaguchi from the Little League World Series. He won it with Hawaii the year before or after Eastbank won it if I remember correctly. Get him and Marshall Louque in here.

Has anyone heard if we're expecting him on the roster next season?

I think Jay was trying to get him here at semester break when Nevadas coach left. I think he’s absolutely a target.
Someone on a different board said Louque is scheduled to be here next year, 26-27.

I like hearing this. He's a ball player. I'll have to ask around, but I wonder if he's gotten on the mound any recently or plans to.

On another note, Drake Amedee...2026 pitcher for BM was set to go to LSUE but is going to SLU now. I really, really like the kid. He was used as BM's game 2 guy but I think he was their best arm. Up to 94 with a plus slider/cutter. Around 6'2 and 200 with room to build, and knows how to pitch. Very competitive. No hit Pineville in the playoffs. He was on the mound for the Catholic marathon.
He reminds me of a taller, more wiry, but slightly less athletic Brennan Stuprich, who coincidentally pitched at SLU and ended up a late round pick by the Yanks last year.

Looks like Louque knocked the piss out of the ball this season at LSUE.

Edit: PP7 was right. Noah Yoder not in portal. Retweeted post from team mate who is.

That's the best player in the state a decade ago.

Noah Yoder. Just on the mound for Virginia pumping 97 and is apparently in the portal according to his social media.

Haven't seen any reporting, but I like his numbers. The more I keep looking at his game log, the more I hope we jump in on him. ETA: Doesn't look like he's in the portal as far as I can tell. But he definitely looks like a good one.
Local Benton kid. Use to play tennis with his dad years ago, really good dude. Hope he gets a shot. Looks like good control and low BAA for a young player.

Looks like him and Clapinksi both raked there this year.

Project said we’re on him. When we hear this and look at this sampling of numbers it tells me that we will never be able to clearly define what Jay likes in a prospective portal add - nor should we know. The particulars of the eval is a guarded secret. After the last batch though it’s fair to wonder and to dig into what it is about a possible future lsu player that might lead to success here

Nawrocki is interesting because he’s 5’ 10” and can pitch but projects as a reliever but he can also hit
so we may get a real 2 way player here

Someone mentioned he’s going to be an outfielder here, not a pitcher.
Seems like his entire pitching profile is based around him having an elite slider and nothing else

MLB Pipeline likes him as a pitcher says he has a low to mid 90s FB.
As a left that and a monster slider plays out the pen

Armstrong seems to think he’s going to sign for a bucket of baseballs as an outfielder in the draft.

Yeah Armstrong says he’s been told he’s gonna sign
