This isn’t the thread for it but he was a dependable arm last year. In fact he was the most dependable pitcher we had. You (we) hope he develops into a top of the line SEC starter

Rankings do not mean anything once you get between the lines. Never write in a freshman before they play
even more so with baseball..90% of the rankings is how the kid projects in 3+ years not really what they are right now

Lawson McLeod committed to Georgia Southern.

We seem to be making a push for 2027 LHP Jack Vasquez, who recently decommitted from Texas State.
East Coast Pro and Area Code Games are about to kick off, it's where we see a lot of shuffle in the upcoming recruiting class. It's around the time we got Luke Tucker last year.
Guys show out at these scout-driven events and then decommit from their mid major commitment and get recruited by SEC, ACC, and Big 12 schools.

So we are at 38 now?
39. McLeod hasn't been a part of the class for a while.

Moscona should stop saying things.

Not responding to anybody in particular, but I think L. Schmidt is being overhyped on this board by some. I know Jay/Yeskie want him, but he’s got a ways to go imo. He’s not some sure thing ready to make a major contribution next year IMO.
Based off the write ups on him, I feel like his ranking is based off of his polish at a young age more than his raw stuff. I could see him contributing early, but not sure if his potential is what people are thinking.

Remember when he decommitted some entity out there put up something about us lacking baseball NIL and we lost a top commit, etc
Turns out it had absolutely nothing to do with lack of NIL if GaSo is the destination

Michael Braswell was promoted to Low A Columbia in the Royals org today.
He was previously in the Arizona Complex League for the entirety of that season while he transitions to the mound. That they're promoting him now that the season in AZ is done means they like the way he's progressing and want to continue to get him work to see if there is something real there.

If he ever makes it to the show (not saying he will) that would be an incredible story
Posted on 7/28/26 at 1:38 pm to Tigerfan14
he’s a lefty that was hitting 98.
i’ve read “fills up the zone” 1 too many times.
If he goes JuCO can he enter the draft the next 2 seasons?

quote:Yes. In juco i believe he could enter the drafted after each season. He could also go to LSU this season, transfer to juco the next season and still enter after year 2 from what I understand. He has plenty of options.

yeah I hope he ends up here but I could see him going to JUCO and getting a second bite at the apple. He reclassified too, so he could have just as easily been in HS next year.
And if he wants he can transfer to a D1 school if he doesn’t like the draft next year and he still has offers.
