Carson Bailey to A&M announced tonight.
I'm pretty sure his ongoing investigation has a lot to do with how LSU evaluated him and how much we would be willing to spend, or even go after a player with dirt on his name, innocent or guilty.

What’s the story on all that?

There's a ton of ambiguity on it right now. On X, there were a few saying that it was r@pe. I've heard it's Title IX allegations that he is under investigation for, and the Baylor message board reads:
"Can you indicate what the reason was then?"
""Involuntary." I'm pretty sure I know the reason, but not 100% sure, so won't say until I'm able to verify it with another source."
"I understand no worries…unfortunately that probably answers my question."
All in all, he's a talented pitcher, but whether he is 100% innocent or 100% guilty, it's likely a headache JJ doesn't want to deal with. He really values the character of his team and I can see where he likely drew the line on this one.

Who are our potential 15-20 home runs in a season guys either on the team, out of the portal, or in our recruiting class
So far Dylan Crews, Brayden Jobert, Cade Doughty, Jacob Berry, Tommy White, Cade Beloso, Gavin Dugas, Jared Jones and Hayden Travinski have done it under Johnson

I think this years team proves that we don't need to rely on guys to club the long ball. Last year, 12 guys in the country had 27+ HRs. This year, 0. Balls change, bats change; being able to score without 140+ HRs is going to be Jay Johnson's calling card from now on. But since you're asking,
On the team, Arrambide, John Pearson, Milam (around 15), Curiel and Brown (around or just under 15). All obviously require development and playing time to get there.
Simpson maybe from our portal class. Pretty big jump from the Big South to the SEC.
Ebel, Serna, Young, Fauske come to mind from the HS class. Not in their freshman year, but some point in their career are capable of the mark.

Maybe but I think we lose several more games this year without certain homeruns. I think you need a nice mix. You can’t always rely on guys having a year like Anderson and Eyanson.

No clue how Aggie is getting these guys. Awful crap season under new hc and portal guys lining up to go there. They have to be paying well above market or something

Maybe they see opportunity because they were such crap this season
Posted on 6/22/25 at 1:53 pm to wfallstiger

As long as you have 2/3 stud starters. Kade, eyanson, and Evans.
Is Jay going to bring in s high end starter out thr portal?
Has to right?

He’s been locked up for a few days. But Kendall was still premature in his post the other day.
