This may have been asked, but with Curiel certainly moving to CF, does that mean:

A) Stanfield moves to LF
B) Stanfield moves on to pro ball

He still has a year of eligibility

Curiel makes that catch in unc 100/100 times that Brown looked like a bad news bear on. Simple eyeball test over their careers tells you Curiel is a significantly better defender. Plus guy lists stronger arm as the reason to take brown out of RF, lul.

Until his name is in the portal there is no big time smoke. As of now it’s just a rumor made up by someone and people are now taking it and running with it like they did with Laviolette last year.

Could be A or B. Or C, Stanny stays in CF. It's all speculation and reading the tea leaves. Most expect Curiel to be the CF next year because that was his presumed destination when he signed with us.

It’s hard to imagine Stanfield improving on his stock. I don’t see him adding power, so you know what you’re getting in him. I’d be surprised to see him return unless he drops hard.

He dropped a routine catch in G3 vs Texas this season, too. In football terms, he double catches a lot of balls and overall just does not always look comfortable.

his arm is strong, but his throws from the outfield are generally spiked. 2,3, 4 hoppers into the infield.

Curiel has major league instincts in the OF already. I'd be shocked if they played Brown in CF over him. His only challenge would be if Stanfield returns, then they'd have a decision to make. I think Curiel would be a better CF than Stanfield anyway.

Serious question.... Is Mascona related to Jake?

We appear to be stepping up the heat on Nate Taylor

I try searching things on twitter to get updates with little success. Where do you get intel to know which teams are putting on more heat?

Jake is awesome & should have been a full time player so he’s partially right. He’s just not the best option for CF.

I suspect he missed reps in HS since his main focus was pitching.

Curiel looks like he’s been getting OF reps since he was 2yo. He’s the most naturally instinctive player LSU has had since Bregman I think

I mean it’s pretty obvious at this point who you’d rather be coached by if your a pitcher.

yeah that’s new as of this morning.

Hopefully an indicator that they’ve been in contact and are setting up a visit. He’s dominating the cape right now.

I know UGA had a nice staff but does anyone know why Taylor didn’t pitch more in 2025? Crazy good stats and dominating right now in the Cape. Seems like a total stud.

May not be a good reason. May be why he’s in the portal.

I’m not sure if this is true or not but I was told the staff rather than taking a large number of transfers position players is making NIL pitches to some of these freshmen pre draft.

I have no idea how they are balancing all of this
