Vol Twitter is calling out the experts in this thread. Their side is seeing the world very differently.

I don’t know anything that hasn’t been said by others. The perception among our staff Monday was that he will be a Vol. His dad said he couldn’t imagine him signing elsewhere. I think everyone is sweating LSU just because they seem to close so well. As of Monday, they said they’d announce this week. Not much of this week left. Hopefully we’ll hear today or tomorrow.
quote:
Tony, Frank and Drew Beam did a fantastic job recruiting this kid and his dad who is playing a big role in his decision too. If he didn’t take any visits he would’ve been a vol for sure. He was in Knoxville longer than any other city, and Tony V visits are legendary.
Never say never, but I will be very surprised if he’s not a vol by Monday. Could hear as early as tomorrow

Apparently Holman might have gone to Auburn yesterday instead and LSU today. Someone on VQ said McKee mentioned it. Also, the fact that he has been in LSU but there have been zero updates by the On3 and 247 guys there on how the visit went is a bit odd considering their fans are convinced Holman is a lock.

Then you have State fans saying that it is down to State and LSU. It's funny how many people come out as "insiders" by looking at social media and message boards. Fans look too far into a lot of things kids do on social media. Time will tell. Not sure who he will pick and won't act like I have big inside sources to give a definite answer on him, but his visit Wednesday and yesterday was as good as it could have gone.

He’ll commit here sometime this weekend and those insiders over there will cover their arse by saying he was “bought” and if not for NIL he’d be in Knoxville. As if they didn’t hand him a couple McDonald’s bags while he was over there too

That’s like the guy a few days ago saying Montgomerys dad gave him their life story in an elevator. No one knows what’s going on and his dad isn’t dropping hints.

The school that was just caught giving money to everyone who thought about the color orange isn’t trying to buy players. Even if the thought was I hate orange I’m going to Georgia. That’s the argument.

Holman should pop today

Speaking of Montgomery, I see that Jay now follows him on Twitter. I do not recall that being the case a week ago.

I guess they're unaware that our recruiting reporters don't know the baseball program exists.

Did this dude stop to think about how this sounded in his head before posting? Yeah, no shite he’d be a Vol if that was his only visit. But, unfortunately for Tony V, he made other visits after leaving Knoxville

David folse is about as close as it gets

It pains me that he is the first media person our commits interact with after committing.
It makes me wonder how many second guess their decision immediately.

You don’t know who most kids are until they commit to lsu, because they commit so early these days. It’s a hard sport to cover & there isn’t much money or interest in it outside of the region

Is it better that Lloyd is probably #2?

At least for Lloyd he's only contacting transfers and to schedule them to talk to a couple guys they've probably heard of.
Folse contacts high school kids and then fangirls out over them.
ETA: I can't believe you put me in the difficult position of defending Lloyd.

It’s the cringey-est shite. He does it to our coaches too.

This gets on my nerves so bad. If I was Konnor Griffin and his family I would probably decommit because of how creepy he is on twitter toward Konnor.
I'm not a huge fan of Lloyd but he seems to be getting better. The positive of talking to Lloyd is the 2 guys doing most of the talking is 2 ex LSU national champions and kids probably think it is cool to talk to them.

All that movement can be tough to reign it in.
Don't need to reign in the movement, just need to adjust his release point to account for the movement. His misses weren't close like Ty Floyd.
