Daniel Harden coming in from JUCO.

I am very excited for him to get to campus. Big upside. 71 free passes, and 79 hits is a great statistic to bring in.

The 3B guy from High Point, Brayden Simpson, was just named to the All America team. He's probably your 3rd baseman.

He is a draft risk. That said, I think he is going to be the third baseman. As for Dardar, he is open to playing anywhere on the field. 2026 will essentially be the first season that hasn't had any type of injury for him. 2nd base makes sense for him, but first is definitely an option if Frey goes pro.
He played in 5 games and flew back home Monday. He is going to start training on campus very soon he said.
Last night I had the pleasure of interviewing Kansas State Transfer Seth Dardar. He is the most recent commitment to LSU's 2026 baseball team. He can play any position in the infield and has a great story to tell.

Interview starts at 3:15 and ends at just after the 44 minute mark.

A recently familiar name for Tiger fans

Call me a hater, but I wasn't impressed

To be fair he did throw 161 total pitches in a 3 day span against LSU.

Twitter has gotten harder to comprehend with recruiting, ive kinda given up other than following this thread

Very much agreed. That said, it appears that Coach Jordan is following the following...

Jordy Oriach(New Mexico) .388 w/ 16 HR, 63 RBI and a 1.218 OPS

Tyler Litchenberger(App State) .342 with 69 hits. He reached safely in 46 of 52 games

Elijah Jerzembeck(South Carolina) Missed season due to injury

A lot of people were always curious about how Tyrann Mathieu got the nickname "Honey Badger." His former DB coach at LSU, Ron Cooper(LIU HC), shares the actual story. The video is less than two minutes. Honey Badger Origin Story

yall really need 4 people to interview him? get rid of the old man and the kid with the black light. William became totally disinterested when that idiot popped up

This was a rare occasion. Generally the two on top do the interviews. We had talked about joining forces for a while for a collab, so usually it isn’t like this.

He thought Warrick Dunn played at Catholic like 50 yrs ago. He's never heard of Tyler Beede. I'm old.

Right?! I felt the same way.

How about a little more description in your subject line? Like what sport?

Considering his recruiting ranking, and draft projection added with the insane reaction when he withdrew from the draft, I assumed everyone knew him. But that is what assuming gets me.

TL;DR - Baseball

Sounds like a levelheaded young man.

He really is, he seems unbothered and I really like that in a pitcher.
William Schmidt appeared on The Golden Boot Podcast last night and talked about his progression, why he chose college, who he wants to face the most, and even had a brief appearance by Derek Curiel. William is a good guy and his future is very bright.

why Griffin would leave for a few hundred thousand dollars? If he stayed and was drafted next year in even the 2nd or 3rd round, that could be a few million dollars difference. I would think if he really believed he could improve his draft stock he would return.

That’s why I’m asking the question, because I don’t understand the MLB draft process and the ins and outs.

Certainly wanted him back. Jay said he’s a definite weekend starter, if he returned.

I look at it like this. VERY talented arm, good teammate but yet he was essentially lost in the shuffle.

I think in his mind he wanted to be a starter. It was then stated that if he stayed he would be a starter in 2025. Nothing is promised, especially after seeing the arms coming in. After looking at the portal additions, why risk being lost again when you have the chance to use leverage as a DE Soph?
I have gone through and over researched stats, big moments, SOS based on defenses played, etc. Bo Nix is good, Michael Penix Jr. is good. What Jayden is doing week after week if unheard of. Why should he be punished for defensive shortfalls?

quote:

The Heisman Memorial Trophy is awarded “to the outstanding college football player whose performance epitomizes great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work.” Those attributes accurately describe LSU QB Jayden Daniels. He is the engine that drives the #1 offense in college football and flashes a million-dollar smile at you as he jukes you out of your cleats on his way to the endzone.

Seriously, Jayden Daniels for Heisman!
Eh, to each their own. They treat me good. I am good friends with the co-host Randy. So I am a tad biased. I just like hearing athletes stories.
It is a good show. They interview players from many different schools and get their stories. Many LSU players have been on.
The IOTB(GREAT SHOW) guys are saying that returning to Stanford is most likely the case. They have said this for the last few weeks and they do not report rumors.
I think Jay is going to have a very dominant run. Add in the fact that his players buy into his system helps. His recruiting is also very elite.

It will be nearly impossible to match what Bertman did, that said if there was a coach that I would bet on to do it, it is definitely Jay. Honestly over the next 3-5 years I definitely expect 1-2 more championships.

That being said, Jay can win 10 championships and Skip will always be my GOAT. Mainly because he truly built LSU vs Jay(NO OFFENSE TO HIM) inheriting some solid talent, not many guys take a job where their outfielder is Dylan Crews and the 1B is Tre Morgan.

Be curious to see if he gets a few ticks up in velo on the pitch come springtime as he continues to develop and work on the pitch.

I am excited to see how he will adjust once he works with Yeskie. Definitely happy with his progression this summer. Some solid potential here.
Replying to this comment because it was the first one I saw that mentioned Braden Montgomery.

What if Braden wants to play SS? He was a MIF in HS along with OF/P. I know in the Cape he has played RF and pitched once, but who is to say that they wouldn't give him a shot at SS?

Obviously, I have zero inside intel on him just like everyone else, just a random thought that popped in my mind.
