Question for anyone that knows. Does redshirting affect the 40 man roster?

The 35 (or 40) man roster is set before the start of the season. If a player isn’t on it, he is done for the year and gets a redshirt. A player on the roster could also redshirt if he doesn’t play.

Jared Jones is in the Cape Cod league home run contest.

As long as his pitcher stays with fastballs, I like his chances.

1st-rder Chase Dollander inks w/@Rockies for $5,716,900 (full pick 9 value). @Vol_Baseball RHP, inconsistent spring but mid-90s fastball, mid-80s slider, plus control in past. Ranked ahead of Skenes coming into yr, lot of scouts think he can regain form by raising slot @MLBDraft

Jim Callis says MLB thinks they can fix Dollander. Not a ringing endorsement of the Tennessee staff.

Langford signing with Rangers for $8M which is overslot. We already knew it was a long shot for them to get Jake Brown but that pretty much says Brown will be a LSU tiger next season.

Hell mutha frickin yeeeeeeeahhhh boooooiiiii!! Those two pieces alone set us up nicely. If our young pitchers could stay healthy that would be great please baseball Gods! Noot and Shores got bit. Stay away from our incoming arms as they may as well be counted on early and often esp Johnson

Oh Bear is winning that if they are throwing softballs up there that dude has the most powerful swing I have ever seen on a freshman. He’s got so much potential it’s crazy.

He's gonna strike out. Just kidding I'd probably like his chances against anyone there

Didn’t he commit to Arkansas?

He didn’t but he’s basically been on commit watch since he entered the portal. It’s starting to get interesting though the longer he holds out. I wonder if he’s making a couple low key visits.

I thought he had committed to Arky too. Would love to snag Molina.

If Molina committed to us, half of the Hog fans would have an aneurism…

Not a good outing for Bronzini last night
Gave up 4 runs in first and only inning
Rougarou lost 4-3 to cane cutters - 3 walks

This is probably lowest level summer league out there
Most are junior college players and non power 5 players

Hopefully this kid.

ETA: Just noticed my gif failed at some point, but it was the game 3 HR vs Kentucky when their pitcher was quick pitching Jones and he hit one out of the park and put him in his place.

I somehow think you are very unqualified to make that statement
