We currently have 65 guys total on our list for next year. 7 are in the portal and have not announced a destination. A whole shite load are draft risks.
We have 8 guys that fit the +5 spots, 1 is in the portal, 3 are draft risks.
We need to get to 35+5.

Project, do you know if Young is playing summer ball? Any idea how he's hitting?

I don't think he's playing anywhere currently. Nothing is showing on his B-Ref page. They don't capture every league, but they capture the ones he'd be likely to play in.

I hearing we think he’s leaning to going pro at this point and just using the portal as leverage. That being said I wouldn’t turn him down.

Tebrake, Pineda and Day seem to just be leveraging the portal for the draft. I guess that's why CJJ is over recruiting the portal guys.

This kid could have went just about anywhere. I’m pretty sure they gave him a strong indication that he would play.
He will also likely get drafted thus year so that’s something to keep an eye on too

I agree with this. With the draft being less than 3 weeks away, I think he’s probably got an idea as to who will make it to campus. I don’t think he takes young if he had confidence in Pineda and Guidry/Romero making it to campus.

I don't think Pineda will get drafted high enough to sign but I could be wrong. I guess he could be using us as leverage. The other two are more likely to go in the draft.

What's the deal with Connor Simon? Is he still considered to be on the roster? I know he was out all of last season with an injury. Is it likely to see him get processed? I haven't seen his name being mentioned to compete for an infield spot.

Young is ahead of Pineda on most draft rankings I have seen so far. The 2 I keep up with most is MLB draft list and Prospect Live.

Simon hasn't played much baseball in the last 2 years due to injury. I would think he will need a little time to knock some rust off and get back into it. If these transfers get to campus, that gives him this year to get to work and knock the rust off. Then I think he can step into a bigger role in 2024. If he wants to stick around that long.
