There’s a younger brother? I know they have older brother that goes to Florence, didn’t realize there was another one after Konnor. That’s a good pipeline….lol. His mom and dad should be freezing their cells to sell later!

Difference in this kid and Crews is he’s already looking at being 1:1 in the draft. Literally no where to improve if he goes at 1. Hell even if he went too 3-5. There is a huge difference in money in top 5 in the draft and mid to late rounders as far as money goes

He is in his right grade now. He was a sophomore but reclassified into his correct grade for his birthday (May, I believe)

Pretty sure crews got here before NIL and he wasn’t projected to go 1.1 out of HS.

So he should be a sophomore but reclassified as a junior? And he’s 17?
Welcome to the travel ball circuit in Mississippi. They hold them back early there so they can have an extra year to dominate. Kid panned out so they reclassed him back to the original grade he would have been in.

He turned 16 in April so he’s a young junior or older sophomore

Hopefully he'll get hurt and drastically tank his draft stock ala Bregs

You're right! Why would a high draft pick (outside the money) want to spend time on long, shitty bus rides to Class A parks for a year before moving on to shitty High A or AA parks playing in front of 850 fans?
You’ve watch bull Durham too many times

did for Dylan Crews and many other kids that's were going to be first rounders that are going to college. It's happening more than you think.
Dylan decided to come here before nil was even ruled on .
He wasn’t coming for money even if it was a thing back then . He just wanted to play college baseball and develop

Yeah, we're going to need Gordon to get it done on this one... if he follows baseball. If not, well... Somebody get it done.

I am not getting my hopes up but the days of just saying these types of kids will never step foot on campus are over . I still give it a 25% chance he makes it to LSU. NIL makes the college experience way better and more enticing to try college. If he was my son and a lock to be a top 5 pick them of course take the money and go pro. 0% chance if NIL didn't exist. Don't underestimate the power of Marucci.

Oh, I'm not underestimating anything, which is why I said Gordon will need to get it done. Because there is always that chance that the kid could be persuaded if there is any part of him that wants to attend college. But a kid who is rated number 1 has to have a pretty strong desire to experience college to pass on the kind of money he'll get in the draft. So, we'll see.

NIL- More top ranked guys may pass up MLB for college.
This kid will be a high first round pick so unless LsU nil can pay 7 figures to an 18 year old don’t get your hopes too high.

Is Mr. Canes Cory Graves involved with NIL? If not, he should be.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, and I doubt that he makes it anywhere near campus, but if something like what happened to Bregman occurs, would be a great player to land.

Good news but Gordon needs to outbid the Major Leagues.

Regardless of if the kid ever steps foot at Alex Box, to see LSU's staff nab a kid out of Jackson Prep after the past 2 seasons of CWS titles out of MS is impressive.
