So a good player can never be on a bad team? Is that what you are trying to say here? Because that is ridiculous.
One isn’t a red flag.

Would raise an eyebrow if they weren't highly thought of and not from a major conference. To say there aren't 5-10 good players on Purdue out of 85 is a stretch.

I know it's different sports, and the way baseball works it can be vastly different from a developmental standpoint, but Kansas once had 3 guys transfer out and become All-SEC level players the next season (albeit on 3 different teams). And the team they left was middle of the road, non-tournament while they were there.

They are also the 3 highest graded transfer prospects at their position based on college performance from On3 staff.
So D1, P5 evaluation considers them good players. They may turn out to be below average, but they are a higher probability performer vs a HS graded player.

Max Klare, TE
Dillon Thieneman, Safety
Will Heldt, DE
Along with Barion Brown, WR from Kentucky, Nic Anderson WR from Oklahoma and Jakeem Jackson, DB from Florida.
Probably need at least 4 more transfers, or 3 if Bryce Baker, QB commits later.
I didn't want to say it because I have no clue who they are going after but that looked like something that could make sense to me and I can't say that would be a bad thing.

The Purdue safety has had over 100 tackles each of the past 2 seasons. Had 6 picks his freshman year. He’s a definite if we can get him. The TE would be a great get too. I’m not sure we have much of a shot landing he and Bauer Sharp from OU though.

I watched a few Purdue games and the only player that stood out was Max Klare. He’s very good.
He’d seamlessly replace Taylor

Yeah, let's get everybody we can off that 1-win team.

Lester, did LSU have any good players when Curley Hallman was stinkin' up the joint? Purdue fired their coach, not their players.

Purdue was 1-11 last year. So not all that exciting tbh
They were 4-8 the year before and had maybe the top two overall players in the portal afterwards.
Great players can be on shitty teams.
Look at Colorado last year.
The NFL is loaded with players from shitty college teams.

quote:The players may be great but there’s really no comparison between Purdue and the teams you listed. Each would be a double digit favorite over Purdue, and Arkansas and Kentucky would be 3 TDs or more. They were legitimately one of the worst P4/P5 teams in the last 25 years.
Then why is everyone salivating over the arkansas guard, te. Or kentucky wrs and dt. Northwestern guard. OK st olb/ s.
They probably would have been underdogs against 15-20 FCS teams.

Not really. You are seriously underestimating how bad this Purdue team is. 3 SEC starting caliber players would make Purdue a much better team than they actually were. There might be one or two who are legit, but this team would have been bad in FCS.
And no, I don't care about ON3 rankings. They have more than proven to be useless for the transfer portal. Which makes sense because they have like 24 hours to figure it out and can't see any in person work outs in most cases.

Would be great to get them all!

LSU roster this year would've gone 3-9 with their coaching staff. You need talent in both parties to compete

Give me guys that have produced, rather than some 5 star that hasn’t done anything since being in college. Need experience.
