For what its worth, it didn't look like he was making much of an impression. Mom took a phone call in the middle of things and I overheard her say when asked that "we are with USC", like she wasn't even sure what Ed's name was. I'm sure with everyone recruiting him its pretty hard to remember the name of every coach you talk to.

i don't get why you say early enrollment was never an option for him but felt the need to start an "apparently jarvis landry isn't enrolling early" thread a few days ago.

I wasn't hating on him, I also don't think he's close to Kiffin's level. It just seems like he could have chosen a better time to visit than during the bowl game for the team the kid is currently committed to. I would think it would do more harm than good to visit at that time and would leave a bad impression on the kid and his family.

Funny Fat O wasn't whistling "Hold that Tiger" while recruiting for SC. We all know how bad he wanted to come here, but Les told him to stick it.

Orgeron thinks that just because he is from here he can pull players to wherever he is. But the fact is, why would anyone sign up for USC right now? Maybe in four or five years when all of this is over, but not now. Ed would be doing a disservice to any Louisiana player he could lure out to play for a team under sanctions, and that's a fact.

I D K. You'd have to ask the 25+ players and 5th ranked recruiting class who have pledged to sign up why.

In an interview either while he was still at Ole Miss or shortly after he left and was looking for a job, he said that he used to walk down the halls at Ole Miss and whistle "Hold that Tiger". I remember that Bobby and Deek were talking about it on 870. If you may recall he was pissed that he didn't get picked-up by LSU and went over to Tenn with Kiffin. I can't recall if he was the person that had something to do with Janzen Jackson switching or it was Monty.
