Rodney had a "Roll Tide" tweet a few days ago.

Saban has used those Tangi boy's against us entirely too much. I surely hope D. Lee commits to the good guys.

Reverse that trend.

Not necessarily. It's just sort of our ace in the hole that we are willing to play. The other two know we are willing to do it, and they've discussed with them the possibility of doing it too, but as of now, we are the only one of the 3 that has committed to taking him on scholarship.

Yeah, we aren't stupid. Rodney won't get his LOI papers until Ish is signed, sealed, and delivered.

Saban and Alabama are absolutely not above playing games in recruiting.

The Hootie Jones deal was a classic attempt to screw LSU over.

Fortunately Tigers came out smelling like a rose on that one!

Of course Bama doesn't want to offer Rodney a scholarship, but they are going to play that all the way up till signing day.

All they have to do is convince Rodney they want him.

In this case if I HAD to offer Rodney a schollie to get Ish I probably do it.

So important from multiple perspectives that LSU land Ish.

How about offer both a scholarship provided they both sign in the early signing period.

I don't buy too much into that they're just playing he recruiting game. Didn't Ish have a profile pic with an A&M jersey

Wow, I'm surprised LSU has committed to it before he's played a year at Juco.

Rodney is going juco so it’s not going to make a difference this year

Interesting thought... schools go through great pains using "under the table" tactics to get players qualified.

What about using the reverse? Make sure Rodney doesn't qualify (if marginal GPA/ACT combo) to avoid using the schollie.

That would be a first I think.

Alabama has depth at every position and can afford to waste a scholarship on the brother. LSU cannot. That being said, Im not sure the brother is a waste at all.

As far as package deal brothers go they said this morning that Lanard Fournett looks like Barry Sanders compared to Rodney and Ish. So let’s hope we do have this two for one deal Ish lives up to the hype

I mean, the only way it "worked out" was Leonard came here. Lanard is not an SEC caliber player at all, it's why after 3 years he basically hasn't played.

But how worth it was

Doubt Alabama's recruiting strategy is based upon gamemanship to influence what LSU or any other university does with its scholarships. They recruit the players they believe will best help them win as does LSU
You're naive then.

Its absurd to think with only 25 scholarships that a school can afford to use one for the sole purpose of influencing another school to waste one of its own. Sure a school may rarely do it for its own benefit which might apply to Sopsher.

Again, Saban could care less what other programs do. His sole focus is on recriting the players he wants. The same applies to other programs and coaches as well.

I'd imagine Flott would be the first on the chopping block with the crowd at DB this class.

Yeah Orgeron has shown that when it comes to dotting the i's and crossing the t's he really nails down the details.

Thats why Cole Tracy cost LSU a spot in the last class..
