You don't know what you have until it's gone. As a LSU fan RB was just something I never had to worry about. Not only did they have great RBs, they usually had at least two of them. Then it got to the point where they'd have like 5 dudes on the depth chart like an all star team. Just pick a year in the '00s and the depth chart is going to be absurd.

'03 was a personal favorite:

Justin Vincent
Jo Addai
Alley Broussard
Shyrone Carey
Barrington Edwards

12 was absurd:

Jeremy Hill
Kenny Hillard
Michael Ford
Spencer Ware
Alfred Blue
JC Copeland

Teams are going to hate seeing this guy on the field. He has an attitude they aren’t going to like!

Also, I'd argue Kenny Hilliard and Darrel Williams were violent runners

I see us using him a lot like SF uses Kyle Juszczyk

He’s mistaking the calf muscles for violence

He would have had me if he said calves

It will be so nice to have an imaginative running game again. Motion, misdirection. Even going into I formation or a 2 man backfield.

Was looking for someone to post this. Spencer Ware was a punisher. That guy had a lot of tough yards. I miss having that type of back lately.

Ware was the first guy that came to my mind too. He seemed to seek out violent contact.

I think his game is more similar to the IU RBs, which is not a bad thing.

Just a reminder that you don’t need big, slow backs like Hilliard and Spencer ware to get tough yards.

Don't forget Ali Broussard

Joe Addai was a beast, too.
