I can't decide if he or Dessert is my favorite.

I didn’t realize there was a potential eligibility hang up.

All foreign players have to get visas, right? Or kentucky could call ICE before we play them. All of that has to be worked out. But we have the contacts to get er done.

Seeing the nba logos to LSU is incredible

More so clearinghouse stuff but not the same kind of eligibility issues Luis Jr. will have. I am not posting because I said it before, but still shocked Wade and staff went for this and then were able to pull it together in this amount of time. Always love beating out Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina, and St. John’s for players but it was one of those once they got the first the rest fell in. The wailing and gnashing of teeth by the sports media, other coaches, and fans has not even come close to starting. Most do not actually know what LSU is trying to do or has done!

What bothers me about the media outcry is that Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, etc are all trying to game the system too recruiting these guys. They’re mainly irate they’re all going to LSU

Not just that, for decades the big boys/blue bloods have tried to bring pros over and skirt and say they didn’t get paid or get them cleared. Now that it is a rule that they can bring them, a lot of them tried and honestly gave up after their first attempt which you cannot do with European players, agents, and clubs. Wade and staff kept on it and continued to grind. It will pay more dividends if the rules don’t get changed because now that clubs if it goes through have not only dealt with LSU but the players who by and large know and don’t care anything about college basketball in America will see. It truly was a first to market advantage. I mean god bless them the staff was up at 4 in the morning and working around the clock dealing with everybody from bankers in the Canary Islands, the Cleveland Cavaliers, multiple agents like 3 at a time and then had to call about his citizenship status all for one player in Niang. Once they got him they felt like they not only were in the drivers seat but other Euro clubs and players took notice for sure.

Duke, UNC, and Arizona was trying to get Niang. Now everyone is getting the panties all in a bunch. How dare LSU get a player that traditional blue bloods didn't get. So Will Wade is the evil bad guy because he worked harder to get these guys.

Not just harder, yes they grinded on these guys but they didn’t treat them or the process like a junior high school kid approach. Treated the players, agents, and clubs, like professionals. Cannot believe for instance Arizona and Kansas trying with Dessert the whole family angle. He doesn’t GAF.
