re: If I've done the math correctly, and that's a big IF, best we'll finish this class is 7th

So how many total commits did you have in your estimate?
Where did you put Harbor?

If LSU ends up in the 290’s I really don’t care where they are ranked.

If we finish top 10 we have a successful class. The question as always is the QB. The musts every year are OL, DL, and sprinkle in a few playmakers on both sides of the ball.

as long as out recruiting ranking is a single digit every year there is enough talent on the roster to compete for a natty

The number I came up with assuming we land all of our current '23 CBs was mid 280s.

Yeah anybody who doesn’t think 7th is good enough for us to compete doesn’t know football or recruiting and it doesn’t matter if all 6 teams ahead of us are in the SEC. if you are in the top ten every year it becomes about development at that point

IMO I don’t think this class cracks the top 10.

The only way I can see that happening is if we win like 5 or 6 games this coming season, & still...I think it would be close.

Let’s face it. For the last 16 years we all knew we had to have an over abundance of talent because we KNEW they would not be developed. I seriously think those days are over.
Plus with the portal, any damn thing can happen.

Harbor,Heard, and Sampson sling shots LSU to #3. I see a finish anywhere from 3-8. Which is perfectly fine

I hope lsu can finish strong with the louisiana kids.

Heard
Sampson
Kylin jackson
Derek williams

Harbor would be a home run pull.

Whitefoot is pretty much 100% correct here. 5th or 7th is still a damn good class. 2024 we end up 2nd or 3rd and we got this thing moving full steam ahead and all indications are headed this direction. The real evaluation period will be September through January. That will tell the tale.

What makes you say that? Besides the fact that your post history shows you to legitimately be the most negative poster I’ve ever come across. I don’t think I could be as negative as you if I made an alter with the sole purpose of doing so.
It’s unbelievable
