I can’t find where any school has signed the #1 RB, WR and QB in the same class….

…and can’t recall this happening, but it may have???

It may have happened at some point or another but the rankings changed to where it was no longer the case. Or may have been #1 at different points in time and didn't all coincide. We may be the first to have all three committed and be #1 at their position though.

USC in the 2000’s maybe? Alabama maybe.

It's a long ways to signing day. All 3 players are not ranked #1 by all the services, their rankings will change(commit too early, other kids rise in the rankings, etc).
Obviously want LSU to get all 3 but it's 11 months plus to ESD.

Don't worry - all will be 3 & 4 stars once all the recruiting services devalue them for committing to LSU.

Doubt it ever happens. Committing is great but a kid from Michigan isn’t likely to actually show up here. History hasn’t been kind.

You’ll get downvoted to hell, but you’re right. He might end up here, but it’s less than 50/50 even if he commits today. The perception of uncertainty around Michigan will be different 11 months from now and this kids emotions will bounce around in 2000 different directions due to 2000 different variables every day from now until then. I think he wants to come here today. But the chances of that not changing are unlikely. Early commitments are completely worthless. They mean absolutely nothing, other than a tell that a kid likes a school. But we already know that.

QB commits usually stick…not always, but definitely less wavering in QBs than other positions

The chances are much higher than if he doesn’t commit. People love to say that commitments don’t matter, but history has proven they matter a lot.

They will change rankings by then. Gotta bump up Alabama, Texas etc….

Sorry but Arch was far from the #1 QB that cycle.
Name recognition only.

Doesn’t Alabama and Georgia do this every other year?
Posted on 1/6/24 at 3:34 pm to PlaySomeHonk
If LSU does it, Rivals will retroactively re-rank a couple of past Alabama classes so that #1 Bama did it first, and #2 they did it twice as much.

Exactly, everyone knows commits flip regularly but I believe the highest ranked flip less, and like you say it’s easier to keep a good one vs steal them.

but it’s less than 50/50 even if he commits today.
