I can tell how different this RECRUITING BOARD is now….

since NIL…. after a win or loss in the past, this board would be inundated with questions like:
“What do you think __________ thought about that game?”
“When will we hear about the next commitment?”
“Do we get any new visitors base do that win/loss?”
Now with tons of portal movement, these questions don’t really hold much weight — it’s a whole new world

Yeah, it sucks. Recruiting Board used to be the place to be. Still is during portal season, but that's one month.

It's changed CFB, and not for the better IMO. Following recruitments and roster development was one of the funnest aspects of being an LSU fan.
It's also made it harder to follow have the same investment (not financial) in players.
Like last year, Delane and Hailey were awesome and lived up to the DBU hype. The problem is that they're here and gone in a year, unlike the guys before.

It's partly that, but interest was already dying down due to recruits increasingly playing games and decommitting at the last second. And now, with money involved (over the table) "commitments" have never meant less. Throw in the portal, and yeah, it's hard to get jacked up about high school recruiting. I still care about it, but I'm not following it very closely.
