This won't happen. Collins is not an SEC QB.
I guess LSU is not in the SEC?

There's a legitimate discussion to be had if Hurley is even a take. He seems to have regressed since the commitment.

Yup. Better go all in for Underwood because Hurley is not it sad to say. A good sign is him reclassifying and regressing. It's a sign right there that he has hit his ceiling in high school.

Before anyone says he's young and can still progress he's also not showing maturity or standing out among his peers while being at a program that gives him a huge advantage with tons of resources. He also should be more polished than his peers considering the additional coaching he gets. He's not the guy.

’m afraid Hurley should’ve never reclassified and the staff shouldn’t have panicked after Sayin committed to bama and took his commitment. Don’t think he’s SEC material at all

Yeah he needs to be processed

The problem with that is he idiotically skipped a whole year of his development by reclassifying. Idk who told him to do that but it was obviously a mistake.

Hard to understand where this upside narrative keeps coming from. The kid is very close to maxed physically. Arm talent isn't upside. It either is or isn't there. You can't develop it. You develop footwork, throwing motion, release, mental ques, physical growth etc

You just contradicted yourself by saying arm talent isn't upside. Which he has. Then saying you can develop the other attributes which you think he doesn't have. So we can agree that means there is upside there?

The 52% completion is not good. You always hear it said that an inaccurate high school quarterback doesn't get more accurate in college.

I remember having this conversation about TJ Finley. He had the big arm, the size you want but he carried a 50% completion through high school.

I know Caleb Williams was in the 50's his JR year of HS. I don't know how much he improved his SR season.

There have been several QB’s with big arms that have improved accuracy past HS. Josh Allan and Lamar Jackson are 2 easy ones that come to mind.

We just saw film from Hurley in a game where he was making nfl throws. Y’all seem to have forgotten that. The competition may have been poor but I’m not gonna say he has little upside when we’ve seen him make the throws.
He’s 16 he will improve especially under Sloan who has improved jd definitely .

Not a take is too far imo

You saw his HIGHLIGHT film. Where they take his best plays and edit out all the bad ones.

We should be in the mix for the top qbs every season except the odd one.

Huh? What gives you this expectation? Literally, the last 5* QB we signed was Russell Shepard. Walker Howard was definitely a good QB signing, but even he had dropped to around #50 by the end of the cycle.

It depends on where his throws are going. If he is throwing downfield often then that percentage is not as bad as it sounds. He could turn and throw to his receiver 25 straight times and the percentage would go up and he would still be the same QB.
